His death was an undeniable tragedy, but Perry left us with many great examples of how brilliant he could be on screen.

Perry’s last film role, 17 again is an underrated comedy that Perry elevates from the second the film opens. The movie which is almost like a reverse version of Bigis basically a Zac Efron vehicle and imagines a middle-aged man becoming his teenage self again.
However, the film gives its opening and closing moments to Perry, and it is Perry who elevates the film’s comedy and stretches it with vulnerability. While 17 again it may not be a perfect film, it has a lot of charm, and Perry is one of the film’s strengths from the second she appears on screen.
The Odd Couple (2015-2017)

After you have participated in something like friends, any other sitcom role you take on might feel like a bit of a step back. Nevertheless, Perry continues The odd couple captured much of the magic that made him one of the best pranksters around friends.
The show was a reboot of a classic sitcom, and this version followed Perry as Oscar Madison and Thomas Lennon as his much edgier roommate Felix Unger. Perry was also an executive producer on that show, and while you might be thinking that The odd couple is a bit conventional, it’s hard to deny that it was funny.

A more unconventional drama, Continue follows Perry as a sports radio host who joins a support group to overcome the death of his wife. Although Continue is, at least in theory, a comedy that is peppered with soft talk about grief and death.
Perry didn’t often get the chance to show off her purely dramatic skills friendsbut when he did, he showed impressive levels of pathos and vulnerability. Continue gives him more opportunities to play the dramatic ending of things, although he retains the wry wit that made him so popular friends.

Perry’s first post-friends The TV project was Studio 60 on the Sunset Stripwhich also turned out to be a sequel to writer Aaron Sorkin The West Wing. Set behind the scenes of a sketch comedy show that is similar to Saturday Night Livebut it definitely isn’t SNL, Studio 60 gave Perry a chance to give her take on some of the sharpest and sharpest writing on television.

It’s a great performance from Perry, who in addition to delivering solid jokes, also has great chemistry with Hayek.
