My air fryer takes out a lot of the heavy lifting and guesswork that can go into cooking. That’s just one of the reasons I love it so much!

Dishes like air fryer roast, air fryer falafel, and air fryer baby back ribs are just a few examples.

Meals that would normally take hours to prepare and cook come together in minutes when you use a deep fryer. This is the best way to save time!

Another one of my favorite deep fryer meals is frozen empanadas in the deep fryer.

You can use your preferred brand (Goya is my choice) or you can even use your own homemade version.

I like to enjoy a few of these paired with Mexican rice, black beans, coleslaw, and corn for a fun dinner idea. You can also grab a few for a quick and easy breakfast.

No matter how you plan to enjoy yours, you’ll be happy to know that this recipe only takes 15 minutes from start to finish.

This means you will have more time to spend with loved ones instead of in your kitchen. Now that’s a win for everyone!

Let them cool slightly before burying them!

It doesn’t matter if you’re working with deep-fryer cheese empanadas or deep-fryer frozen chicken empanadas; all varieties should take about 15 minutes total!

How to Make Goya Empanadas in an Air Fryer

As I mentioned above, I usually make Goya empanadas in a deep fryer.

You can use whatever brand you like, but I find Goya to be the best bang for my buck—they’re cheap, but the quality is still there.

You can use my exact air fryer method to make yours at home. It won’t take more than 15 minutes.

Is it better to bake or fry empanadas?

It all depends on your preference, but I find that deep-fryer frozen empanadas have the crisp, golden brown exterior you’d get from frying them traditionally—without any of the excess oil or mess.

Frozen empanadas in the deep fryer also take much less time than if you bake them.

How do I make empanadas crispy?

Make them in a deep fryer! Again, no matter what kind you want to make: Deep Fryer Cheese Empanadas or Deep Fryer Frozen Chicken Empanadas, they will crisp up beautifully!
