Arts, parks and roadworks between Christmas and New Year: THE DIGEST

The Staunton Augusta Art Center will continue to host Art for Gifts through December 31st.

“Each year we transform our galleries into a marketplace filled with unique and original artwork from local and regional artists and artisans,” reads the announcement, published via Downtown Staunton Development Association. “You’ll find thoughtful, quality gifts for everyone on your list while supporting regional artists along with our local economy.”

The exhibition is open Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The water reservoir at Natural Chimneys Park is complete. Because of this, the bathrooms and restrooms at the Visitor Center are now open. Augusta County Parks and Recreation announced the completion on Facebook, adding “goodbye portajoni!”

According to the Augusta County Library’s social media, the Craigsville library station will host a game night on Dec. 28.

“If you like cards and board games, this is the place for you!” reads the Augusta County Library’s Facebook page. “Come 4:00pm to 6:00pm. This event is open to all ages!”
