Irish alternative rock three-piece The Fae have released their debut single, Chloe. We asked them the BIG questions. . .
The lead single from the band’s debut EP, titled Bloodrushdue out this September, the track comes with a video produced and shot by Niamh Barry, who has worked with Sprints and Orla Gartland.

Speaking of Chloe, says the band’s guitarist and singer Jordan, “Chloe is one of those songs that came about super quickly, half as a joke and half as something to help a friend who had just broken up with his girlfriend. I wanted to reassure her and kind of say, “Hey, it’s okay, you know better.”
“The audio at the beginning is her talking about breaking up with another friend of ours, which we ended up recording by mistake while demoing. A happy accident.”
Tell us three things about yourself. . .
My name is Chloe. I’ve been playing drums for 10 years. I’m originally from Dublin.
I’m Emma, from Santry, Dublin. I have cystic fibrosis. I am chronically addicted to Coke and Lucozade noodles.
I’m Jordan, I’m named after Eddie Jordan (F1), I don’t really care about F1.
How would you describe your music?
C. Alternative rock, but better
E. Alternative rock/indie pop with elements of shoegaze
J: Fairytale music
Who are your musical inspirations?
C. Caoimhe Barry of Wyvern Lingo, Zack Farro of Paramore, Haim, Karen Carpenter.
D. I grew up in a very musical household, so I would definitely say that inspired me the most to pursue a career in music.
J. The Cars, Sleater Kinney, My dad also probably.
What was the first concert you went to?
C. Avril Lavigne at the RDS when she was on tour The best thing album. I was eight years old and I remember the Jonas Brothers were the opening act.
E. Oh God, I think it was probably Westlife when I was about four.
J. Andre Rieu, not very cool.
What was the first record you bought?
C. I’m pretty sure it was Fearless by taylor swift because i heard Love story on the radio and was obsessed with it.

D. I remember my sister bringing me to get The 1975’s debut album in 2013 when it came out. I was so excited because it was the first time I ever saved up and bought a CD of a band I discovered on my own.
J. Powerslave by Iron Maiden when I was seven/eight. I stand by it, good record.

Favorite lyric of all time?
Q. “Once you used a fork, it turns out forks are everywhere.” From the song So many things by Sabrina Carpenter. It perfectly sums up the feeling right after a breakup, when you’re so sad that the smallest, most insignificant things remind you of them.
