Colin Jost Says He Can’t Enjoy Scarlett Johansson Movies Without Booze During ‘SNL’ Prank Exchange

Colin Yost was forced to ditch his wife Scarlett Johansson on live TV during a prank segment with Michael Che on “Saturday Night Live.”

The comedians who host “Weekend Update” wrote brutal jokes about each other to deliver during the long-running show’s final episode of the year.

“The state of New York now allows movie theaters to serve alcohol, so I can finally enjoy my wife’s little feature films,” Yost, 41, said, wincing as he streamed the never-before-seen footage.

“Just kidding, honey, I love all your movies, and if you ask me, you’re an even better Black Widow than Coretta Scott King,” he said of the late Martin Luther King Jr.’s wife.

To make matters worse, Che brought in “a poet, author and activist … who was last on this show, Season 3, 46 years ago,” to sit next to Yost as he delivered the racist rant.

“Please welcome Dr. Hattie Davis, ladies and gentlemen,” Che added, welcoming an actor on set who was ostensibly a black civil rights activist.

“Michael Che does it so dirty 🤣🤣🤣,” one fan commented under a clip of the comedy writer roasting his wife.

“I swear they tried to end it with this😂,” added another.

A third viewer chimed in: “They didn’t hold back on this one. These two are comedy gold. We need more than that.”

Elsewhere in the segment, Yost got back at Che with an equally simple joke about Beyoncé.

“Last month, Beyoncé posted a photo on Instagram of herself in a chrome Versace dress and platinum blonde hair that many people online described as ‘too white,'” the stand-up comic said. “Actually, Beyoncé looked so white that I was finally attracted to her.”

Jost was first linked to Johansson, 39, in May 2017 when they were spotted kissing after her appearance on “SNL.” They went public with their relationship in December and got engaged in May 2019 after two years of dating.

They said “I dos” in October 2020 in an intimate ceremony at the Oscar nominee’s home in Palisades, New York.

The comedian and the movie star welcomed their first child together in August 2021, managing to keep the pregnancy a secret for eight months.

The Black Widow actress is also mother to 9-year-old daughter Rose, who she shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.

The couple recently made headlines after Johansson was seen asking a stony-faced Jost if she was “okay” during a red carpet appearance.

The father-of-one looked so deep in thought as he posed at the American Museum of Natural History’s 2023 gala that the Lost in Translation actress got to meet him in the now-viral clip.
