Dance in Wonderland

The Roswell Senior Center, 807 N. Missouri Ave., hosts Dance in Wonderland for individuals and couples ages 18 and older from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. An evening of dancing and socializing will put a spring in your step. “Jeeves Gets In”

The Roswell Community Little Theatre, 1717 S. Union Ave., presents the comedy “Jeeves Intervenes.” High society London of the 1920s is thrown into chaos by hapless playboy Bertie Wooster and his old school friend Eustace Bassington-Bassington. The two come up with a brilliant plan to trick meddling relatives to save Bertie from an unwanted marriage and Eustace from an unwanted job in India. But will the ever-faithful servant Jeeves be able to save these clumsy fools from themselves? The audience is in for a delightful romp full of deception and disguise. Rescheduled: Veneration of the Four Chaplains

The American Legion Post 61 will honor the four World War II chaplains who gave their lives to save many of the soldiers on the battleship Dorchester in February 1943. The Rise with Roswell Agriculture Breakfast takes place from 6 to 8 a.m. at the Eastern New Mexico State Fairgrounds. The guest speaker is Matt “The Good Guy” Rush, creator of western art and agricultural advocate. Chavez County Veterans Symposium

Veterans are invited to attend the Chavez County Veterans Symposium from 8 am to 5 pm at the National Guard Armory, 1 W. Earl Cummings Loop. Events begin at 9am with the Presentation of Colors. From 10 a.m. to noon, the PACT Act Town Hall is being held with representatives from VA Health Care, the VA Regional Office and New Mexico Disabled Veterans. At noon, the New Mexico Goss Riffle Military Team is featured. A special presentation on survivor benefits follows at 1:00 p.m. Services available throughout the day: Veterans Property Tax Exemption/Waiver Clinic, Claims Clinic, Goodwill Industries, Chavez County Local Veterans Organizations, Health Services for veterans and vet center, programs for women veterans, VA home loan, senior services, and more. The Family After Hours event takes place at the Roswell Museum, 1011 N. Richardson Ave., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. There will be art activities for the whole family. The Robert H. ENMU-R Foundation Golf Tournament

The ENMU-Roswell Foundation will host its 20th annual golf tournament at the New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course. The game will begin with an 8 am kick-off. Proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit the Foundation’s General Achievement Fund. Teams must have a minimum total handicap of 40. Event, corporate and hole sponsorships are also available. Non-sponsored teams will be accepted on a waitlist basis. Team and sponsorship forms are posted on the campus website at enmu.edu. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and the players who come closest to the pin. Additional prize drawings will also be held. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. ART NM! Art and Culture Day

ART NM! Arts and Culture Day is a community celebration of arts and culture presented by the New Mexico arts advocacy organization, Creative New Mexico, and hosted by the Roswell Museum during its monthly Second Saturday event. This year’s theme is “Art Is Springing Up All Over New Mexico.” The event includes hands-on art activities for children and adults and interactive performances. Susan Cooper Exhibition “50th Session”

Susan Cooper’s 50th Session mixed exhibition is an explosion of color and includes new installations commemorating the last five decades of her year as Roswell Artist in Residence (RAiR), as well as work from different time periods and modes.
