A man with the username “LivingwitHorse” shared his story of family drama on a subreddit known as AITA (“Am I a—–e”) — and asked others for their thoughts on the matter.

A dad on Reddit said he recently learned his little girl has grown up to be a stripper — and as a result, he’s no longer making car payments on her behalf because of her career choice. More than 20,000 people reacted to his post and over 6,000 comments poured in.

“I agreed to help her pay for the car since she was in school,” he wrote.

But the father said he recently learned from a “young man” he works with that his daughter is now “undressing at a club about 40 minutes away”.

The man, who did not share his location, wrote: “I confronted her about it and she said she doesn’t plan on doing it… and [that] he needed some money.”

The man said he told his daughter he would rather her “work at McDonald’s” than make money from “using” her body.

He continued: “We had an argument and I asked her to stop undressing and then get a decent job.”

But “she refused,” the father wrote, “and said that undressing was easy gain.”

A daughter told her father that “undressing is easy money,” according to a Reddit post that drew attention.

So, “basically,” the man added, “I said I don’t need to pay her car payment anymore,” “since she makes money so easily.”

He continued: “She got upset and said it wasn’t fair and she wasn’t making enough for it. I told her to figure it out.”

The man said: “She told my wife what happened and my wife is upset about the job she chose but says it’s unfair of me to stop supporting her so suddenly because of an argument.”

The father and husband also said: “I think it’s perfectly fair – the money is mine and it’s my decision when to cut it.”

Fox News Digital reached out to a New York psychologist for insight into the family drama.

An East Coast father of four told Fox News Digital that there are many questions about the story: “Does the young woman really need the money? Why did you suddenly turn to stripping?” He said there must be more to the story.

He also said: “If all the father was paying for was his young daughter’s car payments – and now he’s stopped that because of her choice of job – then that’s not right either.”

A father described his frustration with his 22-year-old daughter (not pictured) who makes money by stripping. He doesn’t approve of her job choices and has stopped making her monthly car payments — and many people called him out on Reddit.

Meanwhile, many people on Reddit shared their own views and comments.

One person was particularly angry at the “whistleblower” – not at any of the family members in this scenario.

“What kind of guy —–and tells a woman’s parents that they saw their daughter undress like it’s his business?” one commenter said of the “whistleblower”.

The man continued: “Your bad fellow who goes to strip clubs to look at women but then bangs them is the biggest [a—–e] in this edition.

Another person on the same thread said: “I’m surprised the dad wasn’t more concerned that his colleague was watching his daughter undress.”

Another commenter was quite angry with the father for no longer supporting his daughter – and in that line of thought, the commenter had a lot of company.

He said the man was wrong to “add conditions” to his agreement with his daughter about car payments “after the fact”.

money for a car

One commenter wrote of the father-daughter standoff: “Your help paying her car payments is not dependent on her having a specific job or staying away from a specific job, so moving the rafters now is absurd.”

That same commenter called out the father for “embarrassing your daughter” and for “not being a man of his word.”

Another person on Reddit thinks the father is wrong for not fully supporting his daughter through college.

“You could have avoided this,” the commenter said directly to the father, “if you had chosen to put her through college entirely. But you left her to her own devices and she figured out a decent way to make money. You have no right to judge her,” the commenter added.

Another person opined on the same issue, writing: “You might not like it, but it is [stripping] It pays a lot better than McDonald’s for less hours, so she doesn’t have to run around trying to study, work and have a social life at the same time.”

The same commenter continued: “Unfortunately, the minimum wage has been stagnant for about two decades because of people your age and older insisting that it should stay low and that jobs like McDonald’s are ‘entry level’ jobs and they should be paid poverty wages.’

This person continued: “She would have to work 3-5 times the hours at a much more physically demanding job to make the same money she is making now. You want her to go down.”

The same commenter also added, “Also, your helping her pay her car payments is not contingent on her having a specific job or not, so moving the rafters now is absurd.”

Wrote an additional commenter, “So to convince your daughter to stop stripping you stopped paying [for] her car and now I have to undress more!”

The man finished with “Nice dude.”

Another man said to the father, “This is your money, of course. But so is your relationship with your daughter. Are you willing to sacrifice that to prevent her from ‘using her body’?”

Another person said, returning to a common theme among the many reactions: “You should have asked the person you’re working with what they hope to gain by telling you this.”
