Dalet and Italian partners EI Towers and CVE have announced that the Lega Serie A-based production center in Lissone is using Dalet solutions to manage high-value sports content and production processes. The Italian Football League is consolidating its content production, management and distribution into a centralized media infrastructure.
The fundamental change in Lega Serie A media production was a significant technical improvement that leveraged Dalet’s workflow automation and content management solutions, increasing production value for more than 400 games and delivering in progressive UHD and 1080p formats over a full IP infrastructure. Enterprise deployment is entirely subscription-based to maximize flexibility and control costs.
“We took on a huge challenge in building a new production infrastructure in such a short time – not only the workflows, but also a completely new facility at Lissone capable of creating highlights, logging compliance metadata and archiving assets. We needed reliable partners to deliver and Dalet, along with CVE, did just that for the production part of this project. A first-of-its-kind installation, the Lega Serie A production center spans 2,400 square meters of state-of-the-art media technology that includes editing stations, post-production rooms, a master control room, a content control room and a room dedicated to infographics. Dalet Professional Services collaborates with EI Towers and CVE to deliver more than 100 channels of reception, 12 channels of playback, online production, nearline and archive storage, as well as editing and production highlighting applications, along with workflow design of Dalet MAM and training for center technicians and operators in a month. Dalet Professional Services together with business partner CVE also provide Lega Serie A with first-line on-site support services.
