It seemed likely that the Eagles would eventually restructure the deal, but they actually did so early, paying out large base salaries as option bonuses for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Like many of these deals, the Eagles are using void years from 2026-29 to allocate those hits. It would also leave about 0.8 million in dead money in 2026 if he executes the contract as currently constructed.
