FTI Consulting’s technology segment adds three managing directors in Switzerland

Zurich, January 30, 2023 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) announced today that the firm’s technology segment has appointed three managing directors in Switzerland. Eck Herych, Iliana Jaeger and Sacha Truffer bring decades of experience in investigations, digital forensics, compliance and data privacy to the firm and will support the practice’s growth and complex client engagements in the DACH region.

Mr. Herych is a senior leader in risk management, compliance, data privacy and information, with more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and other highly regulated industries. With his experience developing, implementing and leading global compliance and data privacy programs as a consultant and internal leader, Mr. Herrich advises clients on change management, project and program quality, compliance training, risk assessments, improvements workflow and accelerate regulatory compliance across the spectrum of data and regulation. He has developed methodologies for defensible enterprise-wide record retention and disposal programs, served as data protection officer for multiple organizations, and implemented GDPR compliance programs.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Herych was Head of Life Sciences Switzerland for a Fortune 500 company, where he managed and expanded the Swiss team, led operational strategy, led compliance and served as the organization’s data privacy officer in Switzerland. Germany and Poland. He has held numerous executive positions in global corporations and consulting firms, as well as research and teaching roles in healthcare and academic institutions.

Ms. Jaeger joins the team with a specialization in forensic investigations and financial crimes. She has more than 11 years of experience managing high-profile matters involving regulatory and internal investigations and litigation, primarily related to fraud and corruption, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC “) questions; misappropriation of assets; conflicts of interest; sanctions, market manipulation and money laundering. She regularly serves clients in the life sciences, industrial products, financial services and manufacturing industries.

Ms. Jaeger has served as a leader of domestic and international investigations and litigation in major locations around the world and has championed the creation of methodologies that leverage technology throughout the investigative lifecycle. Prior to joining FTI Technology, Ms. Jaeger was Director of Disputes and Investigations at Alvarez & Marsal in Switzerland. She has also held roles in digital forensics and investigations at multiple Big Four firms.

Mr. Truffer brings more than 20 years of investigative and digital forensics expertise to his role at FTI Technology. He provides consultation and services on compliance projects and investigations, including domestic and international white-collar crime cases, corporate governance violations, and the development of proactive data-driven compliance programs. He has helped numerous clients across a range of industries implement and manage whistleblowing platforms and subsequent investigations of whistleblower allegations. Mr. Trufer provides clients with extensive experience in risk management, particularly in global enforcement under the FCPA and OFAC.

As a former prosecutor in the Special Investigations Magistrate Office of Basel-Landschaft, with a focus on white-collar crime and due to investigative tasks in connection with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, Mr Trufer also understands the requirements of the Swiss authorities. In addition, Mr. Trufer has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry as the head of claims fraud and internal fraud investigations for an international insurance company headquartered in Switzerland.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Truffer was Director, Disputes and Investigations, at Alvarez & Marsal in Switzerland. He has also held digital forensics and investigative roles at a Big Four firm.
