The Parade of Hearts, the popular art installation event that began in 2022, is returning for 2023. Event organizers held a media preview Friday to unveil the heart-shaped art installations completed by regional artists. The 2023 designs include tributes to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, The Wizard of Oz and more. Hearts will be distributed at public locations around the Kansas City metro area for viewing.
For those who can’t wait to see the artwork or don’t want to burn the gas traveling across town to see it all, there’s a viewing event open to the public on Saturday, April 15. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the upper exhibit hall of the American Royal Hale Arena, located at 1701 American Royal Ct. Tickets are $5 per person. Children under 2 enter for free.
Saturday’s preview will include music and family activities for fun, according to organizers. More about the event and ticket information can be found here.
