Nebraska will welcome fans to Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon for the annual Red and White Spring Game presented by FNBO. Approximately 60,000 tickets had been sold for the spring game as of Wednesday morning, with tickets still available at Huskers.com. Below is information for fans attending the Red and Whites’ contest on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 1.05pm
Ticket and entry information
- Fans are encouraged to purchase mobile tickets prior to Saturday’s game. Tickets are $10 each and are available at Huskers.com.
- On game day, tickets can still be purchased for $10 when purchased through Huskers.com and select mobile delivery. Tickets purchased in person at the box office on game day will cost $20 each.
- The Athletic Ticket Office on Stadium Drive will open at 9am on Saturday and tickets can be purchased by credit/debit card or cash. Tickets can also be purchased at Gate 21 from 10:30am
- Fans must access their mobile match tickets before reaching the stadium gates. To make the entry process at Memorial Stadium as efficient as possible, fans are encouraged to access their ticket account and save their digital tickets in their Apple or Google Wallet apps prior to arrival.
- Stadium gates will open at 11:30 a.m. Gates 1, 6 and 17 will be closed to entry. Gates 18, 19 and 21 will close shortly after kick-off.
- Re-entry will be allowed until the end of the third quarter. After this point, there will be no access to Memorial Stadium.
- Fans are encouraged to travel light and that all bags, purses or carry-on items must comply with Memorial Stadium’s clear bag policy. For more information on clean bags and other game day rules and procedures, please visit Huskers.com/operations.
Parking and transportation information
- There will be several paid seats around Memorial Stadium for fans. Lots on the UNL campus, at Haymarket Park and Pinnacle Bank Arena will cost $10 each.
- All campus lots will open at 6am and payment for these lots will be by credit or debit card only. (No money)
- All Pinnacle Bank Arena controlled parking lots (Festival Parking, PBA Garage) open at 7am and are cash only.
- All Haymarket parks (19, 20, 21) open at 8am and are cash only.
- Fans who hold a ticket to Nebraska’s softball game with Wisconsin will be able to park for free by showing lot attendants their pre-purchased game ticket.
- All parking lots are shared.
- Responsible baggage hold will be enforced by service lots.
- The city’s Big Red Express (StarTran) will not be running for the spring game.
- Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft have a designated drop-off/pick-up area on Vine Street just east of 14th Street.
- Reserved, prepaid parking is available for the spring game in City of Lincoln garages marked with “Park & Go” signs. Visit parkandgo.org to find locations and prices and reserve parking. All-day on-street parking is available through the Passport app. Downtown parking meters apply Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Download from the App Store, passportparking.com. When creating a new session, use zone 90. Parking meters apply Monday to Saturday 8:00am to 6:00pm
- To avoid game day traffic and parking challenges, fans are urged to visit lincoln.ne.gov/closures or use the Waze mobile app.
- There are numerous closed alleys in downtown Lincoln near Memorial Stadium. Fans should plan for traffic on these streets and allow plenty of time to arrive for the spring game.
On-field recognitions and pre-match events
- Like the regular season games, the Nebraska football team will participate in the Unity Walk before Saturday’s games. Fans are encouraged to gather in the East Stadium concourse (outside Gate 20) to welcome the team to the stadium, with the team expected to arrive shortly after 10:30am
- The FNBO will host an autograph zone outside Memorial Stadium before Saturday’s game featuring four members of the Nebraska volleyball team. Current Huskers Bekka Allick, Lindsay Krause and Lexi Rodriguez and 2022 senior Nicklin Hames will sign autographs outside East Stadium from 10 a.m. to noon.
- The Husker Nation Pavilion will be set up on Stadium Drive on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. The Husker Nation Pavilion will feature food vendors, inflatables and other interactive activities for fans of all ages. All activities on Stadium Drive will be suspended at kickoff.
- Nebraska will honor former head football coach Frank Solich at Saturday’s game. Solic and his family will be recognized on the pitch at halftime of Saturday’s red-white game.
- Nebraska Athletics will unveil the updated Herbie Husker before the start of Saturday’s game. New Herbie Husker merchandise will be available for sale throughout Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Lists and media coverage
- Lists will be sold at the Memorial Stadium concession stands for $1.
- The rosters for the spring game will also be available online at Huskers.com later this week, available for download from the official Huskers mobile app, and QR codes will be placed in the Memorial Stadium concourses to download the roster.
- The Huskers Radio Network will provide radio coverage of the Red and White game across the country and around the world via Huskers.com and the official Huskers app. Husker Sports Network coverage begins at 11 a.m. Saturday. Greg Sharp, Damon Benning and Jessica will provide coverage of the red-white game on the Huskers Radio Network.
- The match can be seen live on BTN from 1pm. Larry Puntney, Jeremiah Searles and Megan McKeown will be on the call for BTN.
Other Husker events this weekend
- Nebraska softball will host a three-game weekend series with Wisconsin. First pitch for Saturday’s game is at 3:00 p.m. Husker fans can secure a free ticket to Saturday afternoon’s softball game (while supplies last) by showing their spring game ticket at the Bowlin Stadium box office or in the adjacent pavilion located between baseball and softball.
