Joe Biden’s Reaction to Lauren Bobert’s Video Tirade Over 1 Million Views

President Joe Biden’s reaction to a revived video of Rep. Lauren Bobert’s tirade about the Deflation Act has made its way online, with the video being viewed more than 1 million times.

Biden previously took aim at Bobert, a Colorado Republican, on Wednesday when he talked about his legislative accomplishments during a visit to her congressional district. Biden traveled to Pueblo, Colo., to visit the CS Wind factory — said to be the world’s largest wind turbine tower factory — which recently announced an expansion that the White House says is a direct result of the reducing inflation, a signature part of the president’s economic agenda. However, after Biden’s arrival, Boebert also took aim at criticizing him for his economic policies such as the Deflation Act, which she voted against.

While speaking with MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas on Wednesday, Meiselas showed Biden a video of Bobert’s August 2022 tirade on the House floor against the De-Inflation Act, in which she said in part, “This is just another con game by Democrats”.

In response, Biden seemingly laughs at the video, later saying, “If it wasn’t so important, it would be humorous. The only huge failure occurs in her thinking. The idea that we have created so many good paying jobs in her own area. And by the way, it generates economic growth everywhere.”

The president added: “I hope she comes back here and tells the people in this factory … that this is a colossal failure. This is her area. Invite her back … tell people back home that everything we’ve done to generate economic growth is not worth it,” Biden added.

In a statement Wednesday, Bobert said families in her district are being “crushed by the so-called ‘Bidenomics’.”

“Under his watch, credit card debt, inflation, grocery and gas prices have reached record highs. These high prices are squeezing working class Colorado and rural America,” she said. “Instead of cutting wasteful federal spending and unleashing American energy production, Joe Biden continues to pander to radical extremists, lock up more land, and spend his time focused on campaign gimmicks and vacations instead of doing the job he was elected to do .”

Newsweek has reached out to Bobert and Biden by email for comment.

Bobert shot back at Biden

On Friday, Biden called out the congressman in a post to X, formerly Twitter, writing: “Congressman Lauren Bobert, one of the leaders of the extreme MAGA movement, called the Deflation Act a ‘massive failure.’ Tell that to the 850 Coloradans who are getting new jobs in her area thanks to this law.”

In response, Bobert took aim at Biden, who wrote in an X post: “You have created more jobs for China than you will ever create for the United States. Your entire tenure has been one big failure, and the Expansion Inflation Act is a major part of that failure. America deserves a real strategy on energy and natural gas prices. Not massive subsidies to one industry at the expense of the other while you attack it too. You need to focus on your answer to the American people to collect 10% of the laundered money, Big One.”
