Natrona County Health and Food Inspections (3/13/23–3/19/23)

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department inspects restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile pantries, convenience stores and food vending operations. Each site has a surprise inspection at least twice a year.

According to the department, “There are three types of violations: priority, priority basis, and core.”

While the Department of Health looks for deficiencies, the organization’s main goal is to educate businesses, helping them understand unsafe practices and ways to correct them.

According to the Natrona County Environmental Health Program Manager, “There is no sliding scale or passing or failing a health inspection.” Any violation is rectified immediately or within 10 days, meaning the violation does not make the business unsafe.

If re-inspection is required, the problem may have been more serious or the facility may have needed more time to fix it. They have 10 days to resolve the issue, and Heald says most facilities can easily comply.

Any serious violations or notable citations will be included in the summary notes below, but the full report for each restaurant can be found on the department’s website, where it posts all of its up-to-date information.
