Raise your hand if you love your air fryer! You know mine is raised high to heaven. I use mine weekly if not daily.
You can seriously do so much with this handy kitchen appliance. Cook, fry, bake, bake, bake, dehydrate… and today I want to talk about another function: reheating!
Like many of you, I usually used my microwave to reheat food. Yes, it’s great for things like soup, stew, or a cup of coffee that’s been neglected all morning.
But, if you want to reheat something and hope to crisp it up at the same time, the microwave just isn’t going to cut it. Worse, it can even make your food soggy.
And I don’t know about you, but my oven sometimes takes forever to preheat.
Most days I just don’t have time to sit and wait! This is where my air fryer comes in handy.
It reheats by circulating hot air—which means it’ll also make whatever you throw in there nice and crispy, too.
This brings me to today’s helpful guide: how to reheat a burrito in a deep fryer.
I love burritos, but half the time I find it hard to finish one in one sitting, especially if it’s piled high with delicious fillings like rice, beans, protein, and veggies.
When you reheat burritos in an air fryer, you won’t have to worry about soggy results anymore!

How to reheat a burrito in an air fryer
FIRST STEP: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F.
STEP TWO: Place your burrito in the air fryer basket and reheat for 2-3 minutes. Thicker burritos may need to be reheated for an additional 1-2 minutes.
If your burrito looks a little dry, spray it with a little oil using the EVO mister.
STEP THREE: Remove the reheated burrito from the fryer and enjoy!

Reheating burritos in an air fryer: Variations
- You can also use this recipe to reheat a frozen burrito in the deep fryer. You will need to increase the air fry time to 15 minutes.
- Add some shredded cheese on top. This goes out to all my cheese lovers. Pick your favorite and sprinkle a healthy portion on top of your burrito!
- Slather on your favorite sauce after reheating the burrito in the deep fryer. I like the idea of adding salsa, hot sauce or a creamy burrito sauce made with sour cream and hot peppers.
- Use more spices for extra kick. Don’t be afraid to open the burrito to add additional seasonings before placing it in the fryer.

How do you reheat leftover burritos?
The best way is in the deep fryer! You can also use your microwave, but your burrito won’t crisp up as well.
You can also use your oven to reheat the burritos, but it takes a lot longer than with your deep fryer.
In my opinion, you should always reheat a burrito in a deep fryer.
How long does a burrito cook in the deep fryer?
Not only can you reheat the burrito in the air fryer, but you can also make it from scratch. To do this, preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees F.
Cook your burrito for about 5 minutes.
To reheat, you’ll need to lower the heat a bit (to 350 degrees) and you don’t have to leave it there that long (2-3 minutes should do the trick).

How long does it take to reheat a burrito?
Just 2-3 minutes in the deep fryer! It will take between 15-20 minutes in the oven and about 2 minutes in the microwave.
However, keep in mind that it will probably get soggy in the microwave.
Can you air fry a burrito wrapped in foil?
Contrary to popular belief, you can use aluminum foil in the air fryer (I wrote a whole article on how to do that), but it really isn’t necessary to reheat burritos in the air fryer.
Just place it in the basket as is and air fry it for 2-3 minutes and you’re done!
