I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! South Africa spoilers follow.
I’m a celebrityThe All-Stars All-Stars series says goodbye to one of the show’s most integrated teammates tonight (May 9), after another tough Bushtucker ordeal.
Joe Swash won the 2008 series and later hosted separate aftershows Get me out of here NOW! and Additional bearing. He even met his wife Stacey Solomon through the show. But his return to the jungle ended tonight. Let’s recap what happened.

The episode began with celebrities voting to save each other from the survival trials, which left Joe and Phil Tufnell (ironically, both former Kings of the Jungle) as the unlucky couple.
To stay on the show, Joe and Phil had to enter the Temple of the Doom and find the correct codes to unlock four locks each. The person who does it first will be declared the winner.
Of course, they had to deal with a lot of creepy crawlies along the way, with snakes coming right down to them.
Phil got off to a great start, managing to get three locks in a very short time. While Phil kept his cool, an incredibly frustrated Joe let out a lot, a lot profanity. It didn’t take long for Phil to unlock his last lock and win.
Hosts Ant and Dec called it “the most damning trial in the history of I’m a celebrity‘, but Joe attributed his swearing and poor performance to the fact that he was panting from stress because he hadn’t eaten.
“I’m so out of sync with everything,” Joe explained. “I have children. I think I’m over it, I’m too old for this game.

“It was much more difficult, I have to think about a lot more. My children, my wife, I can’t wait to see them. It was really hard. There are too many things in my head to concentrate and focus.’
Joe also explained that he “desperately wanted to come back and say thank you”, saying he owed “everything” he had to I’m a celebrity.
But the rest of the campers didn’t have time to miss Joe too much as they were all quickly pushed into yet another survival trial with two of them due to go home tomorrow.
Who will these unfortunate celebrities be? Just before the episode ended, we saw Fatima Whitbread, Mileene Klass and Carol Vorderman complete the challenge — meaning there are five celebrities competing for three spots…
