The Cardinals travel to South Bend for the Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, IN – The Ball State track and field team will compete at Loftus Sports Center in South Bend, Indiana for the Meyo Invitational on Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th.

The Cardinals earned two first-place finishes last weekend at the IU Relays, raising their indoor total to 12 tournament wins for the season. Ball State student-athletes faced tough competition at the IU Relays, setting them up for another weekend of challenging matches at the Meyo Invitational.

The Cardinals have 19 student-athletes competing in nine events on Friday, Feb. 3. The first event, the pentathlon, is scheduled for noon EST.

There are 15 student-athletes who will compete in six events on Saturday, February 4th. Day two of competition is scheduled to begin at 10:25 a.m. EST with the 3,000-meter run.

With two tournament wins and several personal best performances at the IU Relays last weekend, 11 Cardinals find themselves ranked in the top 16 on the MAC scoring list. Six Cardinals are ranked in the top five in their respective events.

EVENT WINNERS
The Cardinals have a total of 12 contest wins from seven different student-athletes this season. The student-athletes posted two more event victories last weekend in Bloomington, Ind., with Jenelle Rogers earning his first event victory of the indoor season while Charity Griffith counted his third. Griffith and Jenna Oriani lead the team with three wins each in the tournament.
