Top Picked Trends for Tuesday

We’ve shopped the odds and lines in our top sports betting picks in search of today’s best sports betting trends for Tuesday, May 9. Our top trends include offers from the Champions League, NBA and MLB.

Pour one on one of the funniest trends — and nicknames — in sports. Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is no longer alternating days. He finally put together two back-to-back strong performances and while he was still hitting the Under at his point prop on Monday night, he provided 15 tackles when we needed an Under 14.5 for our game.

Fortunately, there are still plenty of trends to follow, including several goal-scoring machines entering the semi-final round of the Champions League.

Here are our favorite trends for Tuesday, May 9, based on odds from our top sports betting sites.

The best trends for Tuesday

  • UCL: Erling Haaland, all-time top scorer (+100 via FanDuel)
  • NBA: Devin Booker Over 31.5 points (-115 via PointsBet)

Picking Champions League trends on Tuesday

Erling Haaland All-Time Top Scorer (+100 via FanDuel)

Bet $5, get $150 in bonus bets

The UEFA Champions League semi-finals kick off on Tuesday with a match featuring two of the deadliest strikers on the planet.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is rewriting the record books with his goal prowess. He broke the Premier League goalscoring record and has 12 goals in eight Champions League games.

Haaland has found the back of the net in all but two Champions League appearances during that run to the semi-final stage and has seven goals in his last three games, including a stunning five-goal performance against Leipzig.

An anytime goal from Haaland is anywhere from -120 to -133 at most of our best sportsbooks, but FanDuel offers a goal from the Norwegian at even money.

We should not forget that Real Madrid use their clinical finisher in Karim Benzema, who has four goals in his last four Champions League appearances. He carries +155 scoring odds via FanDuel.

We’re betting on goals in our Real Madrid vs Man City predictions and Haaland and Benzema should get on the scoresheet.

NBA Trend Picks Tuesday

Devin Booker Over 31.5pts (-115 via PointsBet)

PointsBet

5 second chance bets up to $50 each

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has established himself as one of the best players in the Association with his play in these NBA playoffs.

Booker is averaging an absurd 36.8 points per game through nine playoff games and is a top contender for NBA Finals MVP.

Booker has scored more than 35 points in three straight games, including a 47-point night in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinal series.

He and teammate Kevin Durant rescued the Suns from an 0-2 series hole and can take a 3-2 lead over the Denver Nuggets with a Game 5 win on Tuesday night.

The Nuggets have proven unable to stop Booker and Durant, even with little to no help from anyone else on the Suns’ roster. We recommend betting on another 30-plus point night from Booker, and you’ll be comfortable betting on him to score 35-plus points at +145 FanDuel odds.

Tuesday’s MLB Trending Pick

Masataka Yoshida scores a hit (-235 via BetRivers)

BetRivers

Up to $500 on a 2nd chance bet

The Boston Red Sox return to action on Tuesday, as does hitting machine Masataka Yoshida.

The Red Sox rookie owns the longest active hitting streak in MLB at 16 games. He has 28 hits and a .438 batting average during that span.

He will face Atlanta Braves right-hander Charlie Morton on Tuesday, and while the 39-year-old owns a 3-3 record and 3.38 ERA, his WHIP is 1.44, his highest mark since 2012.

Morton throws his curveball 45% of the time and his four-seam fastball 31% of the time. Yoshida owns a .333 batting average against the curve and .431 against four hitters this year.

Yoshida’s hit prop rises to -235 at BetRivers. We’d also feel comfortable taking the Sox outfielder to record two plus hits at +195 via FanDuel. He has multiple hits in five of his last six games.
