Travis Scott partners with Smith Entertainment Group for epic NBA All-Star weekend events

Travis Scott is coming to Salt Lake City.

A multi-platinum hip-hop artist, Scott has partnered with Smith Entertainment Group, the parent company of the Utah Jazz, to design a series of dynamic events for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.

Scott’s event creation, which will be presented by his record label and brand, Cactus Jack, will give fans gathering in downtown Salt Lake City an incredibly elevated experience that goes far beyond the basketball court. This curated program will allow locals and visitors from around the world to experience the energy that is All-Star Weekend, a global event beloved by many.

“It’s a dream to be able to collaborate with Smith Entertainment Group and the Utah Jazz to create iconic experiences on a canvas like Salt Lake City – especially during All-Star weekend,” Scott said. “I love Utah and have been coming here for years to snowboard. Salt Lake City will definitely be the place everyone wants to be.”

For Jazz owner Ryan Smith, the opportunity to partner with someone as creative and respected as Scott could not be passed up.

“Travis has a one-of-a-kind vision that has made him one of the most popular artists in the world, and we’re excited for him to bring his creative energy to Utah,” said Smith. “We couldn’t be more excited to partner with him on these activations that will help even more fans and the community engage in incredible All-Star weekend festivities.”

Events included in the weekend-long partnership are the Cactus Jack Concert Series; Grit Rail Jam presented by the Utah Sports Commission, Utah Jazz and Cactus Jack; and Cactus Jack Pop-Up Shop.

Cactus Jack Concert Series: Kicking off at The Depot at the Gateway Center, Scott has assembled an incredible lineup of artists to perform an intimate series of concerts for the night of February 17th and 18th. Don Toliver and Sheck Wes will get the party started on Friday night, while Chase B is the concert series DJ. Limited to just 1,200 guests per night, the Cactus Jack Concert Series will begin each night at 8:00 PM and cost $150 per night. Tickets go on sale at The Depot from Friday 3rd February.

GRIT Rail Jam presented by the Utah Sports Commission, Utah Jazz and Cactus Jack: Free to enter for all ages, the Grit Rail Jam is a sensational opportunity for fans looking to enjoy the energy that comes from All-Star weekend festivities. Heavily involved in the creation and organization of the competition, Scott worked with professional snowboarder and businessman Jeremy Jones to secure an extensive roster of athletes for this two-day snowboard competition, including Scott’s friends Jake Kanter and Zeb Powell. The two-day event will feature some of the best professional and amateur snowboarders in the country as they strive to master the rails, walls and ledges at Olympic Park at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City. The amateur snowboard competition will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Friday, February 17, where the top male and female snowboarders who win will be able to join the professional competition the following day. The pro snowboard competition is set for 3-6pm on Saturday, February 18, with Scott expected to attend.

Cactus Jack Pop Up Shop: As part of The Shop Salt Lake City—an innovative pop-up retail activation to be hosted at The Gateway—Scott’s Cactus Jack Collection has partnered with Mitchell and Ness to have exclusive product drops during the week’s events.
