A truck driver’s video of a mysterious figure appearing on the side of an empty road in Arizona has viewers debating the possibility of a supernatural event.
William Church, a truck driver who was reportedly driving along Arizona State Route 87 on Saturday, March 11, saw a bright flash on his dash cam and thought the blinking figure might be a ghost, according to FOX television stations.
The alleged ghost was spotted around 2:30 a.m. local time as Church passed the 200 mile marker on the highway, which runs between Phoenix and Payson, Arizona (SEE THE VIDEO at the top of this article).

Church told FOX television stations that there were no other cars on the road.
He thinks the translucent figure looks like someone “just standing in the road.”

“You can see the lines through the legs that make the figure,” Church continued.
The six-second clip was shot on a Nexar dashcam, which is designed to record driving for security reasons.

Arizona State Route 87 is a north-south highway that was built in 1927 and is approximately 272.66 miles long.
The north end travels to State Route 264 near Second Mesa, a census-designated place in Arizona, while the south end travels to Interstate-10 near Picacho, an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Arizona.
Many fatal car accidents have occurred on the 96-year-old highway, reportedly leading some locals to believe the road may be haunted.

“They’re out there,” one YouTube commenter wrote on Monday, March 13, with four shocked face emojis.
“I don’t think it’s glare,” shared another commenter. “It’s too centralized in one place. Spooky Spooky!”
“Yes, I saw it… yes, it has a definite ghostly look to it,” wrote another user. “That’s really in my opinion.”
Other YouTube commenters theorized that the unknown roadside figure could be a hitchhiker, an animal, grass, a reflected road sign, or a trick of some kind of light source.
