We’re nearing the end of an automotive era, and as is often the case, there are a lot of really cute and unusually cool cars on the market. But what car gets lost in a sea of perfection? What is the most underrated car on the market?
Despite the historically high prices of new cars, and perhaps because of them, there really seem to be good options for every taste. Electric vehicles have never been better, of course, but there are mind-blowing hypercars, relatively affordable sports cars, a dizzying array of supercars, some great minivans, amazing off-roaders and more available today.
Today’s enthusiasts are spoiled for choice when it comes to sports cars in a way that would have seemed impossible a decade ago. Between the Toyota Supra, Subaru BRZ, Nissan Z, and let’s not forget American pony cars, there’s no shortage of fun, manual-equipped, beautiful cars today.

Meanwhile, the Jeep Wrangler’s monopoly on affordable off-roading is being challenged by the Ford Bronco, and an electric rival is coming soon in the form of the VW Scout revival. And they are great, but they all attract a lot of attention.
Today we want to hear about the unsung heroes. The cars that are a little less showy than a mid-engined Corvette and a little less obvious than, say, a BMW M2. These cars are undoubtedly beautiful, but they are not exactly celebrated.
An unsung hero might be the Cadillac CT4-V, which gave a huge middle finger to its German competition but failed to make an impression on the sales charts. It could also be the Toyota Corolla XSE, which, although no longer available with the manual and overshadowed by the GR variant, is still a cheap, fun and sensible little car.
What do you think though? What is the most underrated car on the market today?
