2 Dead, the suspect killed in Lexington, Kentucky, the church after the suspect shot a state squad, police report.

Two women were killed in a Sunday shooting at the Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, after a man shot a state group near the city airport, officials said. Two men were also injured in the shooting of the church.

Shooting near the Blue Grass Airport revealed around 11:35 p.m. Et, after the squad took over the Terminal Drive vehicle after receiving a state number alert.

The soldier was shot before the suspect escaped from the scene and drove a vehicle ending at the Richmond Road Baptist Church at a distance of about 15 miles, said Lawrence Weathers, Chief of Lexington Police at a press conference on Sunday.

Preliminary information shows that the suspect may have had a connection with people in the church, we said we said without working. The suspect then “fired a weapon in the property of the Church,” he said.

Three responding officers shot a suspect who was declared dead at the scene.

The shooter was found, but the police did not release his name. The shooter’s family was not reported, officials said.

Died victims were identified as 34 -year -old Christina Combs and Beverly Gumm, 72. The Fayeta County Coroner had previously found that Combs were 32.

Men who were injured through shooting were transported to the hospital, Weathers reported. One man is in critical condition and the other is stable, he added. The injured squad is also in a stable condition.

The first shooting was not connected to the airport, the police said, although there were officers there said it had affected part of the Terminal Drive. “Our team is for passengers, led passengers to open the parking lot. All flights and operations are now continuing as usual,” Airport officials said.

“A very strict group”

The church was described as small, and its meetings are mainly related to each other, ”said Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn during the press conference.

The church is located in the village of Lexington, called the corridor of the Old Richmond Road. It is not far from the horseback school and alpaca breeder.

The sermon in the church was broadcast live on Facebook around the shooting. The pastor of the church, Jerry’s rubber, had mentioned death about 10 times in the sermon.

Officials thank law enforcement, offers prayers for victims

In his report, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear asked residents to thank law enforcement for reply to incidents.

“Please pray for all the actions of these meaningless violence affected, and let’s thank you for a quick response from the Lexington Police Department and Kentucky State Police,” he said in a report on X.

Others on Sunday on Sunday offered their prayers for victims.

“Pray for the injured Kentucky State squad and all parishioners injured in the Richmond Road Baptist Church,” said Repas Andy Barras X. “I am very closely watching this situation and I am grateful to the state police and the first responses.”

“Today, violence has invaded the Lord’s house. The attack on law enforcement and the people of the faith Lexington shocked the entire Commonwealth,” the Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman said in a statement.

In his own report of X Kentucky’s elder Rand Paul, he said he was “sad about the tragic shootings.”

“We are grateful for the brave first respondents. Such violence has no room in Kentucky,” the senator said.
