Wednesday, October 1, is the beginning of Stoptober – an annual health campaign to help people quit permanently.

Supported by free NHS to quit a program, people are challenged by a month -free smoke, and research shows that those who do not smoke 28 days are five times more likely to throw. And since Stoptober started in 2012, it helped more than 2.5 million people withdraw.

Smoking has been associated with many health problems, including increased risk of stroke, lung disease, heart disease and cancer. According to cancer, tobacco is known to cause at least 16 different types of cancer, including lung and intestinal cancer.

Although the percentage of smoking is decreasing in the UK, about 11.9% of adults continue to smoke, which means that there are still about six million adult cigarette smokers.

24 hours – You may notice that you are becoming more irritable and anxious, but remember that this is a temporary effect. “Overall, mood, stress, anxiety and depression have been shown to improve after stopping smoking,” Lythgoe adds.

In the first week
