News-Press received hundreds of page text messages between Murphy and parents dating back to 2024. October Murphy rose to the position after resigning from Isaac Harvin, which was investigated for inappropriate calls and texts with students.
Her father said she began to try to end the relationship in December because she realized that the situation could cause problems for her son. Murphy seemed to admit how the relationship influenced his attitude towards her son, recognizing the text message last October that he had broken one of his rules, giving his son an additional pair of shorts for free because of her.
The father said Murphy continued to sought her, and only in July she firmly expressed that she was no longer interested in him.
The father said Murphy stopped talking to his son and he was standing. This is what led her to raise this issue to the school area, the process, which she said was difficult for her and her son.
“In the last 42 days, I have lost more than £ 20, I am annoyed by ER,” she said. “My son, he’s still standing. He’s exiled. This year had to be very fun for him, and instead he was overshadowed by a coach who turned on him and fascinated him for his personal relationship between adults.”
Parents said the fact that Murphy was no longer a Cape Coral coach would give her no joy or satisfaction. She said she stopped attending Seahawks games because after her resignation, she was harassed on the stands.
“I sincerely hurt that he is not the person who says he is because he proclaims honesty and leadership and wonderful basic values,” she said. “… But this is not the one he is in real life, and it hurts me a lot, because if he could have been the one who says he is for these boys, they deserve it and they needed it.”
Last year, Murphy helped Cape Coral to get to the 8-2 finish and the first program of the program since 2011. Seahawks won 11 of their 13 games and became one of the best Lee County teams. In five seasons before Murphy’s Cape Coral had a combined record of 12-35.
As part of the interim head coach Jaylen Watkins, Seahawks is 7: 0 and October 3 this season.
