Change is approaching Jacksonville’s concert scene this summer, but her appearance will be great.
There is a new place in the city. Five opened the former Sun-Ray cinema space in five points with 1,200 standing fans with the room.
Comes the next one. The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has been closed for more than a year and opened again in August as an expanded place with permanent seats. When you finish it, it will be about the same size as five, and it will be interesting to see how space competes for acts and fans.
The new Night Club Decca Live, opened on Bay Street, this year in the center of Jacksonville and regularly booking actions. Just down the street, the former Uderbelly club moved to the Albatross brand and has its own show plan.
Daily’s Place is easier than the usual schedule this summer as the construction of the adjacent Everbank Stadium begins. There is still no word about whether Daily’s will be open all the following year when crews will remove the upper decks of the stadium or next year when the stadium is closed completely until new decks are being built.
Even with all the changes, you should not look too much to find a show that suits your taste.
Ring Starr comes to St. Augustine.
Future Jacksonville Concerts: Here’s who plays this summer
Beatlemaniac? Ringo starr is playing. Preschool educator? Comes in Kidz Bop. Southern rocker? Molly Hatchet hosts a home city at the Florida Theater. Country? Choose between Shania Twain, Brad Paisley, Riley Green or Red Clay Strays. The heart comes, as well as a heart beat. Lil Poppa and Lil Duval everyone has shows in books, as do Lil Baby, Da Baby and Skilla Baby. Jazz fans will dig up postmodern July, hip -hoppers into Ice Cube and Jezy, while people looking for laughter have Nate Bargatze and Nikki Glaser.
