Home Democrats require noem answers for plans for $ 50 million. USD jet

Democrats require answers of the Homeland Security Department (DHS) plan to buy a new $ 50 million jet to the secretary to Kremoem.

Jet, distributed as a linear object to the US Coast Guard (USCG) budget, is when the department says its current plane is not only during its use.

“Reports show that this plane would cost $ 50 million and replace one of the two already available Gulfstream nozzles. Funding for the acquisition of this new jet would allocate other USCG investments, including the much needed modernization of the USCG aging aircraft fleet, wrote that search and other critical missions. Lamonica Mciver (Dn.j.).

Both Democrats sit at the homeland security commission of the home. Thompson is a member of the commission rating.

“Simply put, buying a new jet, you would directly reduce the availability of other USCG aircraft to perform critical missions,” both wrote.

The letter of two legislators describes the aged Coast Guard Aircraft Park, noting that many have entered the service in the 1980s and 1990s, unlike the current Gulfstream, used for noem travel, which was purchased in 2002.

The letter requested by DHS to take out the DHS detailed flights, which were taken by two existing aircraft used for travel, and all the coastal aircraft that “have a” end date for service “to two bays.

DHS did not immediately respond to a request on Friday, but previously defended the need for jet planes.

“The current CG-101 G550 is older than twenty years, except for Gulfstream’s service life and not exceeding hours for business aircraft,” said Tricia McLaughlin.

“This is a matter of security. Like the coastal security ships, which are well above their service life and safe activities, the Coastal Service Aircraft are also there,” she added. “This administration is taking action to restore the best armed service of our nation to the powerful forces.”

DHS defended the need for jet aircraft.

“The current CG-101 G550 is over twenty, non-Gulfstream’s service life and not exceeding the hours of use of government aircraft,” said a Friday report.

“This is a security issue. Like the Coastal Protection Services, which are well above their service life and safe activities, there are coastal aircraft. This administration is taking action to restore the best maritime armed forces in our country to a powerful combat force. DHS responds to official correspondence with official channels.”

Coast Guard Adm. Kevin Lunday was invited about the request when the palace’s appropriations committee appeared earlier this month.

“I was appalled last Friday when we received a last-minute addition to your Fiskal ’25 expenditure plan-$ 50 million worth of Gulfstream 5 5 Secretary Noem for personal trips from the coastal budget. She already has a Gulfstream 5, which, by the way, is a new Homandite spokesman.

Lunday described the plane as “old, and is approaching the end of obsolete and serving life, avionics are increasingly outdated, connections are becoming unreliable and it needs recapitalization, as with most of the rest of the fleet.”

Thompson and Mciver said the new aircraft offer Noem repeats President Trump’s efforts to secure a new Air Force from Qatar.

“We know that President Trump has set a high waste of luxury travel trips to government officials, performing an unconstitutional attempt to acquire $ 400 million in person.

“Your desire to travel in luxury should not darken that the USCG service members need to fly and carry out rescue missions safely.”
