A woman who refuses to look after her daughter while working from home is now arguing with her partner’s former.

A frustrated 33 -year -old woman in a Popular UK -based forum in us explained that her work in managing the financial team is very demanding and stressful. She has no biological children, but a 33 -year -old partner has a 9 -year -old daughter from a previous relationship that often interrupts her work.

“When my daughter is poor, or this is a school vacation and her mother was not held properly childcare, she always asks me to look after me because ‘I’m working home to look after her,” she said. “Every time she asked me, I always said no.”

Her refusal now causes tension between her daughter’s mother and partner, as it is an argument that she should make herself accessible to pay attention to the girl.

“But I don’t see why it is different from what goes to a workplace that cannot look after a child, with a person who works from home,” she said. “I work in meetings, training, phone calls and sitting in silence without TV/music while working. I need to concentrate. I can’t care for a poor child while I work,” she continued.

The woman added that there were cases when she asked to work from the office. But when it is distant, she is expected to “just” be able to look after her daughter.

“It also doesn’t help that my daughter doesn’t listen to me much,” she said. “When I ask her to do or not do something, she usually neither ignores and I have to repeat myself 10 times or ask Dad to sort her.”

The woman said she understood her role in her daughter’s life, but does not want to hurt her career.

“I am important to my career. I have no children and yes, I respect and understand that I am with my partner, he has a daughter, so it comes with additional factors, but I don’t see how it should affect my work,” she said.

Most users tried to reassure the woman that she was not mistaken and questioned why her father was not invited to provide care.

“You don’t even get sick, but I’m wondering if her dad and mom make their part of childcare when she is sick or on vacation?” one wrote.

Another added that “I say the relief to hear a woman I said no to hurt my job for someone’s demands! Completely not. “

It was also raised that work from home was still a job, not free day care services.

“WFH does not mean that you can look after kids working. I don’t have it with my children,” the user said.

While updating her record, the woman said that a child born mother “asks me directly, she never delves into my partner to ask, always straight to me,” and handed over to her partner that his daughter could not be with her if she did not listen to another failure.
