Austin, Texas (AP) – Texas Governor Greg Abbott vetoed the bill that would have banned consumer cannabis products containing thc ingredients in the state, but said he was open to legislators starting with new efforts to regulate what became a prosperous business.
In fact, he is already summoned by lawmakers to a special July session to do so.
However, on Sunday evening, 11 o’clock in the Republican veto presented a few minutes before the bill became a law, some of his best conservative allies who want to eradicate a business that they believe are dangerous.
The veto was a victory for thousands of retail and cannabis farmers in Texas, who were worried that they could be abolished from business, and lawyers who said the ban would hurt people who use thc PTSS and other serious conditions.
At a press conference on Monday, Republican Lieutenant Dan Patrick, who had made efforts to break the THC market, said he was confused by the governor’s actions and that the veto was equivalent to the legalization of marijuana in Texas.

What is THC and how is it adjustable?
Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a compound that gives marijuana its psychoactive properties. It can be derived from cannabis, plants associated with marijuan, but different from marijuana and used to make textiles, plastic and other goods.
2018 Federal law allowed states to regulate cannabis that must be less than 0.3% THC, but cannabis variants may be modified to be more powerful.
This has opened the profitable Thc goods market, which can be purchased in many amenities stores across the country, including in states such as Texas, where marijuana is strictly forbidden.
Critics of the Texas Bill noted the thousands of jobs and millions of revenue that the industry has added to the state. Many retailers also said it allows people to use the medical benefits of marijuana without using the limited state medical marijuana program.
Sponsors of the draft law expressed concern about the risks of the consumption of THC because the federal supervision of their production is low.
Thc’s fate in other states
Several other states have begun to regulate cannabis received THC goods. States in which marijuana is legal, such as Colorado, limited to THC consumption supplies with age limits and CAPS per serving.

Governor veto
On Sunday, the Governor of Texas urged a special session to adopt a draft law on THC and other proposals in July this year.

Veto supporters
Many industrial groups and retailers on Monday applaud the governor’s decision and thanked him for taking their concerns seriously.
“This is a victory for all Textians who spoke loudly and clearly,” the American Cannabis and farmers said in a statement on Sunday.
“This is what we asked for,” the Texas Cannabis Coalition said in an Instagram post. “Thank you for trusting us!”
