One of the best known Jacksonville breweries suddenly closed the door after 26 years, when owners say business is no longer financially sustainable.
At lunch, customers arrived on June 24 to find seven bridge grilles and breweries in 9735 Gate Parkway N., Tinseltown, empty, except for a few employees performing inventory and other final details, including ready to hang a “closed” sign.
“This is due to a lack of business,” Jonathan Blair, Chief of South California, a private capital company, which owns seven bridges and several other restaurants, told The Times-Nion.
More closures: Restaurants we lost in Jacksonville 2025.
Seven Bridges Grille & Brewery, 9735 Gate Parkway N. Suddenly closed the door on June 24. The manager, together with the owner of the restaurant corporation, The Times-Nion, said the closure was due to insufficient business. Craft Brewery and Gastropub were one of the first in Jacksonville
“I feel bad for our team, but we couldn’t change it,” Blair said, adding that the company is approaching other restaurants to help former Seven Bridges employees find new jobs.
“We have failed that far,” asked Blair, when asked about the power of seven bridges to renew, move or change concepts.
Since 1999 In January, Seven Bridges was known for its multiple artisan beer on the tap, as well as food menu, including steaks, burgers, wings, sandwiches, pizzas and salads.
The closure will take place five months after another long -term microwave Ragtime Tavern closed the door and ended for almost 42 years at the 207 Atlantic Boulevard. At the Atlantic Beach.
Ragtime had similar offers such as craft beer, seafood, steaks and more, in a high level of first street and at the Atlantic Boulevard since it first opened in just 12 tables in 1983.
Kelly has bought both seven bridges and Ragtime and three other brewery brands – Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Chophouse & Brewery – from Houston, Texas SPB hospitality.
