The Air Canada Navy on Monday remained justified after the striker satellites disregarded the government -backed order to return to work by escalating a precedent for rejection of Canadian authorities.
The airline, which usually transports 130,000 passengers as a part of the world’s world star alliance, hoped to renew its operations after the directive of the Labor Relations Board to end its strike and enter the binding arbitration.
However, the Canadian State Employees’ Union (Cupe), representing 10,000 Air Canada Canada showroom crew, rejected the order.
They urged the airline to return to the negotiation table, claiming that the obliging arbitration would reduce pressure on the carrier.
Satellites require a better salary and reward for land duties, such as passenger boarding, as the current wage structure only compensates for them when the aircraft move.
This position has received significant support from society in social media from Canadians.

Cupe invited Air Canada to the table “Negotiate a Fair Agreement”, calling for an order to terminate his strike unconstitutional.
The airline has stated that it will postpone plans to start operating from Sunday to Monday evening and described the union as an illegally abolition of the Labor Board.
The government’s ability to terminate the strike is now involved in the courts’ request to enforce the order to return to work and to seek an expedited hearing. The Minority Government could also try to pass laws that will require political competitors and approval in both parliamentary Houses, which are a break until September 15.
“The government will be very strict to be too heavy by hand, as the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that Governments must be very careful when they are deprived of the right to strike, even in public sector employees, which can be considered necessary,” said Dionne Pohler, a Dispute Solving Professor at Cornell University Industrial and Employment.
Another option is to encourage negotiations, said Pohler.
The government did not respond to the requests to comment.

The previous government, led by former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, intervened last year to direct railway and dock strikes that threatened to ruin the economy, but it is very unusual for the Union to deny the order of Cirb.
Cupe stated that her rejection was unprecedented when such an order was adopted in accordance with the rules known as Chapter 107, which the government called in this case.
