Washington (AP). In a close vote, the Senate Republicans on Wednesday overcame the Democrats ‘efforts to insert the language into the Congress’ annual Defense Permit Act, which would have made public cases of male Jeffrey Epstein sex investigation.
The Senate voted for 51-49 to reject amendments to the draft law and the Republican Sensis. Josh Hawley from Missouri and Rand Paul of Kentucky, joining all opposition Democrats.
For months, the Democrats demanded that what became known as the Epstein case, looking for practically every opportunity to force Republicans to join their efforts to reveal or publicly resist the reason that many support the republican base. President Donald Trump, who is nominated for the president, said he was ready to run a detailed accounting of the case, but is now trying to reject the impetus as “Democrats’ deception.”
So far, Democrats have been able to force the Republican leadership to fight the matter, but it is unclear whether they will actually be able to break the Donald Trump Congress of the Republicans by forcing laws through Congress.
“I ask my republican colleagues after all those years you spent calling for accountability, for transparency, for these terrible crimes, why won’t you vote ‘yes’?” Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said Wednesday in the floor.
Earlier on Wednesday, New York Democrat maneuvered to force a language to vote on a language that forced the Department of Justice to publish Epstein’s cases by inserting it into an annual defense policy law to adopt congress. The Senate Republican leadership was then forced to vote in order to abandon the schumer’s amendment, stating that he had included political games in defense laws, which are often subject to bilateral support.
“It does not belong to the draft law of the Department of Defense Policy,” said Susan Collins, the Maine Republican elder.
John Thune, the South Dakota Republican, said earlier this week that the Department of Justice “has already issued many cases” in Epstein.
“I trust them for the confidence that they will receive as much information as possible, as they protect the rights of the victims,” he added.
However, many Republican base, as well as some victims of Epstein’s abuse, have been dissatisfied with what the Department of Justice has been declared so far.
Invitations to reveal the Epstein case when Congress consumed, and it was even more arising from politics than when Epstein killed himself in Manhattan Prison, waiting for the court in 2019. The accusations that he had sexually abused and traded dozens of minor girls. The case was brought over a decade after he secretly terminated the agreement with federal prosecutors in Florida to eliminate almost identical accusations. Epstein was accused of paying hundreds of dollars for minors in cash for massages and then deceiving them.
On Wednesday, journalists asked why Democrats did not take information to reveal when controlling the White House, Schumer replied: “It became so obvious that they were lying differently about it, and that American demands are so great.”
“The need is greater than ever now,” he added.
Meanwhile, the individual efforts are forced to vote on a similar bill.
Democrats elected another place in the house, when representative James Walkinshaw, D-VA., Was sworn in to office after winning special elections this week. This gives them another sponsor of the procedure called a petition in the extract to maneuver on the floor of the Republican leadership house and vote for laws to force the Department of Justice to release Epstein’s cases.
Four Republicans have also signed a petition for confirmation of budget, which means that this is only one name, lack of support needed to vote. This can happen as soon as the end of this month, when the very blue Congress area in Arizona is hosting a special election to fill the vacant place.
