16-year-old Colorado School Sagittarius “radicalized” “extremist network”: sheriff

A 16-year-old student who says the authorities opened a fire at his Colorado Secondary School on Wednesday, injured two classmates and then turned the weapon on themselves-“radicalized some extremist network,” said local sheriff officials.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, the Evergreen High School Arms fire broke out around 12:24 p.m. Local time.

Three students were taken to hospital in a critical condition after a fire, including a suspected shooter injured by a gunshot wound, the Sheriff’s service said.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the suspect had died Wednesday night in social media.

The suspect was identified as 16-year-old Desmond Holly, Jefferson County Sheriff said at a Thursday press conference. The image of the shooter was also released by officials.

Officials found that the weapon was a revolver who was “much fired”. Shots could be seen in the firing Windows and cabinets, the authorities said Thursday.

The alleged suspect went through school trying to “find new targets”, but locked the “road obstacle” because the door was locked and he could not keep the shooting victims, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Although the authorities are still examining the shooter’s motive, they believe he was “radicalized by some extremist network” and that he had a “mission”, officials said. The authorities said they were trying to better understand that network and were looking for his phone, home and cabinet to find out more about what he was in contact with before shooting.

FBI director Kasha Patel said on Thursday in a statement that “the evidence response team and other special sources” were used “as part of our response to this event”.

“Most importantly, our thoughts continue to arise with two injured victims during the shooting and all those who were influenced by this terrible attack,” said the Patel report, which shared X.

The Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that the hospital was “no one was released” despite the reports of previous hospital officials saying that one of the injured was released.

Earlier, the authorities said on Wednesday that the fourth student was also transported to a hospital with an unknown injury, but the Sheriff’s service said Thursday that “these are only three” that were injured.

The family of the 18-year-old Matthew Silverstone, one of the victims of the shooting, said they “appreciate the care and support of the community” and “remain oriented to the recovery of our loved one.” They also asked for privacy as they “continue to heal and go ahead.”

In a Wednesday’s report, Colorado Governor Jared Polis said the shooting had “devastated” him.

“My heart comes out for victims and their families when they fight this meaningless act of violence,” Polley said.

After shooting, the school was placed in the lock and the officers swept the town.

“This is the scary thing that you think can ever happen,” Jacki Kelley, a spokesman for Jefferson County Sheriff, said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Investigators said they were in contact with the suspect’s family because officials were “looking for” weapon ownership.

It is unclear whether it was a targeted or accidental attack, officials said.

Both the FBI and NCIS help to process many crimes scenes both inside and outside the school, and the shooting has spilled into a nearby street, the Sheriff’s service said.

After shooting, hundreds of police officers were at the scene in search of a room in every town, says law enforcement.

The Sheriff’s Department said the Lockdown exercise saved lives yesterday because the students were blocked in classes when they were taught to do.

“Students and staff were amazing. They did their job and they did well. The lives were saved yesterday,” Kelli said on Thursday.
