Apple released its thinnest phone last week iPhone Air and revealed a new iPhone Air Magsafe battery with it. The existence of a specially made battery pack was not a big surprise for me, as there were rumors about the iPhone Air a few months before the event. All were prepared for the thinnest iPhone to donate battery operation to achieve its great design.
However, I was amazed at how much Apple was leaning on the new battery during the launch of the iPhone Air Launch. The company even lists the battery life with this optional battery pack and without it in the iPhone Air specifications. This tells me that regular consumers, that the battery packaging is highly recommended for a good day and is absolutely necessary for a bad day for all iPhone air owners.
So, people spending $ 999 (or more) in the iPhone in the air should you plan to pay another $ 99 for this specially designed battery pack? I want to say this is a funny idea and you shouldn’t do it, especially when there are so many other options with lower prices.
Of course, I personally did not try the iPhone Air with this battery pack. My colleague Sam Rutherford has (see your iPhone Air Review) and he thinks it is perfect for the iPhone Air. First of all, he likes some (recognized) smart features included in Apple, such as battery capabilities to charge yourself and the phone at a time while the phone is connected, and that it can add wireless to a couple of Airpods Pro 3. However, he acknowledges that math is simply not math when it comes to assessing money.
The $ 99 iPhone Air Magsafe battery has 3 149 mAh based on Power Bank itself. It goes out to about $ 0.03 per milliamper. Let’s compare this to the Bank of Our Best Magsafe Government Banks, in this Anker Nano battery: that the cost of $ 55 is $ 55, which costs $ 0.01 per milliamper. Even the Wath Hour rating (Whr) Apple package is smaller: 12,26Whr compared to 25Whr according to this “Anker” option. And keep in mind that the Pack of Anker is not only for the iPhone Air – it, like other magnetic banks, can be used with other iPhones and smartphones.
To add insult to injury, Apple’s Air Magsafe battery is at the top with 12 W wireless charging unless it is connected when turning on the phone and can use Pasthrough USB-C charging. Anker Pack is a Qi2 certified up to 15 W Wireless charging, and since the iPhone Air maintains up to 20W wireless power, it means that Anker accessory can deliver full 15 watts when captured at the end of the air.
Not only do you get almost twice the MAH capacity for half the price, using the Anker option (and faster charging), but the numbers will also make the numbers even funny if you take (hypothetically), which can be a larger Apple battery pack. With these numbers, the 5K Apple Magsafe battery would cost $ 150 and the 10K bank will return you $ 300. Imagine paying these prices for any other energy bank of any other company – it’s funny and we should treat it as such.
Isn’t it a character to make Apple a costly accessory? Not at all. But it differs from $ 99 worth of the Milanese Loop, Apple Watch, or as much as $ 250 in the Magic keyboard iPad. This battery packaging is so important for the overall iPhone air history that without it the telephone power specifications cannot be properly explored. It’s crazy.
As an example, I used one of the collections of our supervisor, but be sure that there are many other Magsafebatterapacks that are now made by reliable manufacturers with similar specifications. Just look for any Qi2 compatible magnetic power bank operating with iPhone Air, and you will probably have a better value on your hands than an Apple -made packaging. Those who want to overpay for smoothness and comfort can certainly do it, but don’t let anyone convince anyone the best or only choice.
