GOP elder Ted Cruz on Friday condemned the threats of the Federal Communications Commission Brendan Carro to include the ABC broadcast license as “incredibly dangerous” and compared part of his rhetoric to the Mafioso tactics.
In his Podcast’s “verdict Verdict with Ted Cruzu,” Texas said in a on Friday that he was “fascinated” by Jimmy Kimmel ABC from Air because of his comment on the conservative influence of Charlie Kirk. However, he said he strongly disagreed with the Government Police, claiming that she could return to a bite for conservatives when Democrats repeated power.
“I hate what Jimmy Kimmel said. I’m glad he was forgiven,” Cruz said. “But let me tell you, if the government starts a business saying, ‘We don’t like what you, the media.
Although Carr’s comments on the left were widely condemned, Cruz’s remarks are one of the strongest threats to the Conservative threats for broadcasters. Cruz is also chaired by the Senate Commercial, Science and Transport Committee, which has a great authority FCC.
“Going on this path will come a time when the Democrat wins again – win the White House … They will silence us. They will use this power, and they will use it ruthlessly. And it is dangerous,” Cruz said.
Later, the journalists of Capitol Hill asked whether the Committee on the Committee would organize hearing on the subject, or to investigate the CARR if it continues in the same way, Cruz left the door open to the opportunity.
“Of course, the Commercial Commerce Committee is overseen, government and responsibility for the FCC, and when the Democrats had most, they did not take care … We will do our job and do care.”
President Donald Trump was also unclearly threatened to grab the Networks licenses if his air in the air is extremely negative, even though Cruz disregarded the president’s comments directly on the podcast.
Trump offered to praise Tsarr when the Texas Republican notes were pressed. “I think Brendan Carr is a great American patriot. So I don’t agree with Ted Cruzu,” he said.
The President also continued to regret what he described as “dishonesty” from the broadcasts of the network criticizing him.
Cruz played the latest remarks that Carras made on the extreme right -wing Podcastro Benny Johnson Podcast, where the FCC chairman threatened to take action against broadcasters who “do not find ways to change behavior” that the government considers unpleasant.
“I mean, look, we can do it in an easy or hard way,” Carr said. “These companies can find ways to change behavior, openly take action, or know if you know if you will be an extra work on FCC.” ABC distracted the Kimmel exhibition indefinitely after Carr submitted those comments.
In response to Carro’s comments, Cruz said, “No, no, no, no, no.”
“Look, look, I like Brendan Carr,” the senator said. “He’s a good guy. He’s a FCC chairman. I work closely with him. But what he said is dangerous as hell.”
“He says, ‘We can do it in an easy way, or we can do it in a difficult way.” And I had to say it’s straight from Goodfell. It’s straight from the Mafioso going to the bar, “The beautiful bar you have here.
Later, Cruz added: “I think it is incredibly dangerous for the government to give up the saying:” We will decide what language we like and what we do not, and we will threaten us to remove you from the air if we do not like what you say. “
“And now it can be good to threaten Jimmy Kimmel,” the senator said. “But when it is used to silence every Conservative in America, we will regret it.”
