The United Corridor Joint Power Agency has chosen HDR design and engineering services for the California speed rail system segment between Viktorville and Palmdale.

The California train line between the Victor Valley and the Antelope Valley will go about 54 miles and connect with the Brightline West planned high -speed railway project and station in Viktor Valley.

The High Desert Corridor Joint Power Agency chose HDR to create a segment of design and engineering services for the California speed -pass railway system between Victorville and Palmdale segment.

The Brightline West project consists of a 218 -mile route with the main passenger station in Las Vegas and stops Apple Valley, Hesperia and Rancho Cucamonga.

2024. In July High deserts, including Victorville Mayor Elizabeth Becerra, a joint agency member, supported the project, reported The Daily Press.

Becerra, together with its colleagues, signed the Landmark Agreement with the Union’s Labor representatives to build, operate and support the future several millions of dollars in a high -desert corridor, the speed of the railway.

Connecting the valleys of high deserts

The East-West High Desert Rail corridor will improve the connection with the California-planned high-speed rail network and open access to housing, jobs and cultural capabilities, previously inaccessible, HDR officials said.

At the speed of up to 180 miles per hour, the High Desert Rail Service project will provide a quick connection to the multimodal transport center in Los Angeles District Antelope Valley to the future Brightline West San Bernardine in the Bernardine County, said HDR.

Eventually, the railway network will connect southern California to the northern state, Las Vegas and beyond.

“The high desert corridor will improve the bond and accessibility of millions of travelers, make billions of economic activities and open up new opportunities for the whole region,” said HDR project manager Girais Kotchian. “To engage in such a significant southern California project is a privilege.”

Under the five -year contract, the HDR -led team will provide a wide range of engineering services to the institutions, including rail design, systems and station integration, operation and maintenance institutions, system planning, bridge design, coordination route, environmental support services, stakeholders’ coordination, risk management and contract administration.

“In order to provide engineering and advisory services related to the high -desert corridor, a multidimensional team is needed to maximize many opportunities and solve various challenges with resistance, technical experience and reckless attention,” said Matt Tucker, World Transit. “We have an exclusive team with global class knowledge in large -scale transit corridors. This is a great message to the future of southern California and the Future of the Greater Railways in the US.”

Members of the Board of the Board of the High Desert Corridor participated in the signing to create a new high -speed rail project to connect Palmdale and Viktor Valley.

When will the project begin?

The project of antelope Valley and Viktor Valley is completed by environmental documentation and preliminary engineering. The construction of the project is expected to be the beginning of the 2030s, HDR said.
