A teacher who confessed to killing a couple on a march with his children in Arkansas

Little Rock, Ark. (AP) – a teacher who says that the authorities admitted that he had fatally beaten the couple, he did not know who marched with his two children in Arkanz State Park, expected to show up his trial for the first time on Friday.

28 -year -old Andrew James McGann was accused of two capital murders estimates during the massacre on Saturday at Clinton David Brink (43) and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41. It is considered without bonds and is expected to appear at the Washington County Detention Center.

Arkanz State Police Colonel Mike Hagar said the authorities are trying to determine the attack on the Devil’s Den, 2500 acres (1000 ha) in the State Park near West Fork, about 140 miles (220 km) northwest of Little Rock, state capital. Its paths were closed to the public since Saturday.

State police arrested McGanna on Wednesday in Barbershop Springdale, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) north of the park, said Major Stacie Rhoads, Commander of the Department Criminal Investigation Division.

Washington District Prosecutor Brandon Carter said he did not know whether Mr McGgann had a lawyer or would need a public defender. The Associated Press has left the number of numbers specified in McGann, which has no criminal record.

Officials said the man was beaten first, about half a mile (0.8 kilometers) to the park, then the mother helped her husband before returning, and her mother introduced her children safely. She was also beaten until death.

The authorities did not say whether the girls – 7 and 9 years – testified that their parents were killed. They were not injured and cared for by family members, the authorities said.

During the arrest, McGann collaborated and acknowledged soon to kill the couple, Rhoads said. The police also coordinated his DNA with blood found at the crime scene. Even the police are suffering from the case.

“During my 27 years, when I was with the state police, it is probably one of us, especially what it was random,” said Rhoads.

The police flooded the tips

McGann was arrested after five days of search and hundreds of tips.

The state police collected photos and videos of other travelers who had not witnessed the attack but were on the trails at the same time. The police also released a composite sketch and a photo showing an interested person from behind.

The police then narrowed the suspect’s vehicle, which had a tape above the license plate mark using the surveillance footage from home and companies near Devil’s Den.

In an hour, when McGann was identified as a suspect, he was caught in a hairdresser.

Carter stated that the state would give the jury a chance to convict McGann to the death penalty.

The suspect is taught in other states against the work of Arkanz
