Marshall, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) – There will always be sad stories in the animal shelter. Mossy has one of the most delicious.
When Mossy first arrived at the Marshal Pet Adoption Center (MPAC), it was filled with rifle granules. At that time, the staff called it Mossberg after the rifle as dark irony. The current staff shortened his name to Mossy.
Mossy was adopted after six months, but his story does not end there.
Mossberg’s adopters lost him. He was homeless for three weeks before the couple found him and took him to their house until morning when they could try to find his home.

Unfortunately, while catching, cleaned Mossy ate, their dog was approaching him, and the fight began. While trying to break the fight, the man was bitten.
Not knowing what to do, the couple took Mossy to an emergency veterinarian to eradicate.
Fortunately, Mossy was still registered at the Marshall Pet Adoption Center in the chip, and the call came to one of the dedicated employees Skar Clark.
Her phone check did not make information about the dog; Previous employees are not always thoroughly registered chips, so she asked for a photo.

She immediately recognized Mossy from her time working as a MPAC as a volunteer two years ago and took action to save him.
The next day, the couple took Mossy back to MPAC and praised him for being such a cute dog. They just didn’t know how to deal with the situation.
MPAC staff contacted previous adoptors who said they would be happy to return Mossy. He had never been aggressive before, and all those involved believed that the event was a one -time event.
When an animal on rabies shots is accused of a human bite, it must be quarantined for 10 days. Previous owners agreed to return it and quarantine, just to refuse quarantine and choose euthanasia.
So much love they made her in their own name. Lovey can be adopted by MPAC
Because of the connection, she felt with the moss and because the bite occurred in Greggs in the County, Skyar convinced them to let moss quarantine Longview in animal health and hospital.
After the quarantine Mossy returned to MPAC, where, amazingly, everything worsened.
During one weekend shifts, Skyar found a Mossy blood covering its kennel.
It was separated when everything continued to deteriorate.
Both Tests of Parvo and Fecal have returned negative. Wonderful for the answer, the staff transported Mossy to the emergency veterinarian.

During his three-week Odyssey, Mossy shrunk the Babesia virus-ypaci rare tick-borne virus, where parasites invade red blood cells and cause anemia.
If it was not bad enough, it was also infected with Lyme disease. All of these failures have led to euthanasia to return as a choice.
Fortunately, Mossy’s employees did not want to give up it. He fought so much; They refused to stop fighting for him.
Although they could not find a direct Babesia drug, MPAC manager Justin Serna contacted one of the country’s main veterinarians, Babesia specialist and told a new, prospective treatment.
The drug needed a strict administration schedule. Employees had to visit the clinic in turns off at work so that Mossy receives each dose on time.

Finally, only one parasite remained in his blood. It is effectively cured and treated for its Lyme disease.
Throughout it, Mossy has remained as cute and loving as any dog you will ever meet. Not only does the adopted person receive the dog. They get the most loyal, resistant friend they could ever ask for.
A dog that can have as many lives as a pellet rifle sheath.
