Arkansas police arrested a man in the Devil’s Den Park massacre after a day -to -day search, finding him nearby

Little Rock, Ark. (AP)-Arkanz police on Wednesday accused a 28-year-old man killing a married couple who marched with his children in Devil’s Den State Park, finding him in a nearby city of five days of searching and public pleasures to see their photos.

The state police arrested Andrew James McGanna of Springdale, a city hairdresser, said Colonel Stacie Rhoads, Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Department. McGann was charged with calculating two capital murders. The police would not say what the motive was.

According to the authorities, McGann recently moved to the area and worked at school, though they did not say what work.

The lawyer could not be for McGann and was left to the number. On Wednesday, he was kept in Washington County Prison. It was not immediately clear when his first court appearance was.

“If you are here in our state, you will make a violent, meaningless act, our law enforcement will hunt you and go to court, because it is the people who deserve it openly,” said Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday night.

43 -year -old Clinton David Brick and 41 -year -old Cristen Amanda Brink were found dead on Saturday on Saturday on the Devil’s Den footpath. Their daughters, who have 7 and 9, were not injured and were taken care of by family members, the authorities said.

Police have released a composite sketch and a sketch and photo of the person they were looking for in the attack. Together with the drawing, police issued a statement saying that the suspect was “most likely to have suffered an injury when attacking the couple.” This did not take more details.

State police have released some details, including how the couple was killed. The FBI said her little rock outdoor office helps in the study. Head of the State Police praised law enforcement cooperation in catching McGanna.

“Because of their hard work and research skills, we were able to take the monster out of the streets and facilitate these two dear girls and the rest of our citizens,” Colonel Mike Hagar said.

Rhoads said they received public aid and videos to capture McGanna. The tips came from long -distance state of Washington, she said.

“It was huge,” she said.

Clinton and Cristen Brick have just moved from south Dakota to the small Prairie Grove city in the Northwest Arkansas. Their water was connected less than two weeks ago, Mayor David Faulk said.

According to his employer Hiland Direry, Clinton Brink was intended to start working as a dairy delivery driver in a nearby Fajetville area. Before moving to Arkansas, Cristen Brink was licensed as a nurse in Montana and South Dakota.

The family said the couple died “heroes protecting their little girls.”

“Our whole state is grieving for the tragic bereavement and a meaningless and terrible crime that happened in the field,” Sanders said.

The Devil’s Den is a 2,500 ares (1,000 ha) state park near West Fork, about 140 miles (220 kilometers) northwest of the little rock, state capital.

The park is known for its pedestrian paths and rock formations. He is on a short trip from Arkanz University in Fajetteville and Walmart’s Bentonville headquarters. In the 1930s, it was elected as a place of the State Park.

The paths of the park leading to the surrounding Ozark National Forest remained closed on Wednesday.
