2025 In July At the end of the 19th century, Internet users shared videos of people listening to an unspecified voice after reading the alleged transcript of a phone call between two republican politicians, Kentucky’s elder Mccon McConnel and former chairman of Kevin McCarthy.
-
We invite McConnell and McCarthy supposedly Discussed the restoration of slavery, the creation of state religious schools, the prohibition of abortion, the emerging immigration and forced impregnation of eighth grade.

We did not find reliable evidence that the transcript was authentic or that any such McConnell and McCarthy conversation. The claim is unfounded.
2025 In July The audio clip (archived) A transcript of the voice reading the alleged phone call between the Kentucky elder Mitch McConnel and the former chairman of the palace Kevin McCarthy. It is believed that two Republican politicians have discussed banning abortions, emerging immigration, creating state -funded religious schools, bringing back slavery and forced impregnation of eighth grade students.
The claim also distributed Facebook (archived) X (archived) Instagram (archived) Thread (archived) YouTube and Reddit (archived). Snopes readers also wrote to ask if the transcript of the video in the videos was authentic.
We have not found any evidence that the audio or transcript of the audio reflects the authentic McConnell and McCarthy conversation.
We did not find reliable news sources that reported a “leaked” copy (archived, archived, archived), which would have been particularly worthy of knowledge if it were true. Although McConnell and McCarthy have previously voted against the federal abortion protection-over their party’s opinion, none of them had publicly expressed opinions or plans that corresponded to other alleged political subjects, such as slavery and state religious education, allegedly discussed with a call.
We contacted McConnell and McCarthy to ask if the transcript of the transcript read in the videos was sure and waits for our questions.
A whole transcript of the alleged phone call, which was read by an unspecified voice, was as follows:
Okay, so I received transcripts.
Mitch: We have to bring back slavery. It was an old good day.
Kevin: As we will do it, we cannot do it in any way.
Mitch: Black people won’t do it, but white people will do it.
Kevin: How will we force white people to be slaves? It sounds ridiculous.
Mitch: We need to get rid of the separation of the church and the state. We must have state -funded religious schools.
Kevin: I don’t see where you go.
Mitch: Those schools will have work programs from the fourth to the eighth grade.
Kevin: Oh, I think I see where you go here. How will it work?
Mitch: We make kids to be-all the products as part of our work program to teach them the values of a good, old-fashioned blue collar work and God’s blessing.
Kevin: I don’t think someone will seek it.
Mitch: Everything is about allure, start from first grade and to the fourth grade they will be ready to do it.
Kevin: But we already have people who can choose products.
Mitch: We have to finish the wall.
Kevin: This will not happen in any way.
Mitch: We find better ways to pull out immigrants from the US.
Kevin: How to double ice?
Mitch: Yes.
Kevin: It will be too busy, too hard and we will be too busy trying to keep it for a long time and generation.
Mitch: No, we get rid of abortion laws in the US and we must make all eighth -grade women impregnated to graduate.
Kevin: Oh, how to replace the crop. Ha ha ha. PUN is for.
Also Kevin: I will try to get a ban on abortion, you work in state -funded religious schools.
Mitch: We don’t have to do either. Lindsey and I took care of this with the new Scotus.
Lindsey was an obvious reference to Lindsey Graham, senior senator from South Carolina and colleague Republican. Scotot is a common abbreviation for the US Supreme Court.
The alleged version of the phone call shared on the Internet was low due to information on when the interview was supposedly. Some said the record was from 2022. But unfounded this claim. There was no further information on what leaked an alleged call or why.
McConnell and McCarthy about abortion, slavery, school selection
As mentioned above, Snopes found no evidence that the alleged call of McConnell and McCarthy was sure that the invitation does not reflect politicians publicly expressed opinions.
McConnell and McCarthy both voted against the Women’s Health Care Act that would “ban Government restrictions to provide and use abortion services. “The draft law adopted The house 2021 but failed Senate 2022
Since then McConnell has said This abortion should be dealt with in the state, not at the federal level. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, a non-profit organization seeking to reduce and eventually stop abortion in the US, evaluated both McConnell and McCarthy “A+”.
Both McConnell and McCarthy have historically opposed slavery, the main theme of the alleged call, in their social media accounts. McCarthy talked (archived) from the “evils” of slavery 2019 In the same year, McConnell wrote (archived) About ‘slavery spots about our story ” on X. But McConnell did before to contradict The idea of slavery reparations, saying that 2019 He did not think that “he works for what happened 150 years ago, to which none of us currently lives in charge, is a good idea.”
Finally, McConnell supposedly spoke in for ”A state -funded religious school ‘of the telephone call. These schools, he allegedly stated that the basis of a renewed slave project would be the basis Historically was a strong proponent of the choice of school, a co -author The work 2013 Argued that “the choice breeds competition is the best way to improve schools”, a opinion that seems to be contrary to the forced attendance at state-funded schools.
This was not the first rumor that Snopes investigated neither McConnell nor McCarthy. For example, we have previously dealt with statements McConnell Said he would not participate in 2020. Election discussions involving women’s moderators and that the photo showed authentically McCarthy Observing how he loses his voice for the rapporteur of the house.
