Sergeant Nicholas Ranstad, who once found a US record with 6,778 feet killing in Afghanistan, said Daily Mail That Kirk shooting was carefully planned, but not perfect.
He said the rally at the Utah Valley University was like a “fish bowl” for any sniper with open space and high ground from nearby roofs.
“It’s a self -service buffet for someone who wanted to kill someone,” he said, noting that there is a serious security and a light corner of the shooter. Ransstad explained that the 200 yards’ distance was simple even for the average shooter.
Calm winds outside the city facilitated the impact.
“Any block can enter the range three or four times and make that shot,” he added, offering the police a look at the weapons range.
However, the sniper said the details of the attack showed that the killer was not a professional soldier, although the shot was fatal.

Immediately after the attack, many thought the weapon was used AR-15, which was associated with several mass shootings.
But Ransstad said it was not true. After reviewing the moment when Charlie Kirk was shot, he claimed to be a stronger rifle.
“It sounded like a high-power rifle, perhaps the bolt action,” he explained and said it could have been .308 bolt action or 7.62 caliber weapon.
The Sergeant revealed that the AR-15S was making a sudden cracked sound, but the shot that killed the activist had a deeper echo.
This detail showed that the Sagittarius chose a pistol designed for long distance accuracy, not speed.
For Ransstad, this choice showed that the attack was not accidental but planned.
Assassin wanted accuracy and probably thought about each step before shooting at one deadly bullet.

Even while planning Ranstad, he noticed one big mistake that proved that the shooter was not fully trained.
Kirk was struck in the neck, but Ransstad believes the killer was reaching his head.
“He probably sought his head, but he did not take the wind and the bullet grabbed a bit,” he explained.
The trained sniper added that the shooter did not properly adapt to the bullet fall or shooting angle.
The video also offered a bad firing from the right hand, and Ransstad said there was another sign of inexperience.
A qualified sniper hit the wrong area with inches unlikely. He showed his neck shine nerves and adrenaline.
He even suggested that the killer was probably just a “internet shooter”, the one who practices the range, but without a trained soldier’s discipline.
