EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Texas Department of Transportation has released a list of road closures that may affect your commute, including road closures for 48 hours starting Saturday, October 18 on Interstate 10 in West El Paso.
I-10 Widening West
From Saturday, October 18 to Monday, October 20, from 5 to 5 p.m. (weekend closing 48 hours)

I-10 EC Redd Rd. closed.

I-10 WB Left lane from Mesa to Redd closed.

Detour: Traffic will exit at Redd and travel from South Desert to Mesa.

Crews will remove a portable concrete traffic barrier, strip striping, paint the Thorn bridge/rail and open the EB ramp to I-10 under Thorn and the existing EB on Mesa ramp.
From Monday, October 20 until Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

North and South Desert between Vinton and Thorn alternate lane closures.
The brigades will work on electricity and various construction works.
From Saturday, October 25 to Monday, October 27, from 5 to 5 p.m. (weekend closing 48 hours)

I-10 westbound at Mesa is closed.

The left lane of I-10 eastbound between Redd and Thorn is closed.

Detour: Traffic will exit at Mesa and continue to North Desert through the Mesa, Thorn and Redd signals before re-entering I-10 after Redd.

Crews will remove a portable concrete traffic barrier and open the I-10 westbound entrance ramp outside Mesa.
Preventive care project
Sunday, October 19th, Thursday, October 23rd, 9pm to 6am each night.

Northbound and southbound Grand River Drive alternate lane closures between Gateway West Boulevard and Notre Dame Lane.

There are alternating lane closures on Whitetail Deer Drive northbound and southbound between Greg Drive and Cottontail Drive.

US 62 (Paisano Drive) westbound and eastbound alternate lane closures between Stanton Street and Alameda Avenue JCT.
Crews will be conducting mobile operations, road and alternate lane closures to replace roadway markings.
I-10 Rising Evening 2
From Monday, October 20 until Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

I-10 eastbound and westbound between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures.

North and South Desert alternate lane closures between Anthony and Nashua.
Crews will be pouring concrete and hauling trucks carrying the materials.

The left lane is closed on I-10 eastbound and westbound between Anthony and Nashua.
Crews will concrete the new pavement surface.
Artcraft
From Monday, October 20 until Friday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

SH-178 (Artcraft) eastbound and westbound between the New Mexico state line and Doniphan alternate lane closures.
Crews will perform lighting and wall installation work.

Crews will load and unload materials and equipment.

Border Highway Phase 2
From Monday, October 20 until Friday, October 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The left lane is closed on US-54 eastbound and westbound between Mesquite Hills and McCombs.
Crews will be working on detours.
Full weekend closure
From Saturday 25 October to Monday 27 October, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from 4am. 10-18 until 10-27

Northbound and southbound McCombs between US-54 and Stan Roberts are closed.

Local traffic will be allowed to access the residential area, the golf course and the El Paso Natural Gas Station.
Detour: Traffic will be detoured using US-54, Martin Luther King and Stan Roberts
Crews will install a drainage structure.
