If you expect to catch a fish at the lake at the seminol, joining a fishing trip is a smart choice. Local Outfitters run small groups of trips, which last for four, six or eight hours. Prices vary-more affordable to go with several other people and fill the fishing boat (the price of three passengers is $ 425 per four-hour trip) compared to it separately (the solo journey starts at a four-hour session of $ 325). On the Georgian side, the seminol in the State Park has 50 tents camping (although they check their availability as they are renovated at the time of writing). There are also cottages (from $ 195 per night in the fall), as well as sandy beach, fishing dock, picnic shelter and boat ramps. Alternatively, check in a private lake salon indicated by VRBO or Airbnb, which can be a strong value.
Many visitors choose picnic accessories before they arrive at the lake, especially if they are camping. However, there are also several recommended eating sites at the lake, including Big Jim’s Oyster Bar & Restaurant in Donalsonville, GA, and Susie and Sam’s Steakhouse, located at the former city center library in Bainbridge, GA.
Although it depends on the direction you are going – the lake is large – the most convenient airport for travelers to the region is the Talahasis International Airport, about an hour by car from Bainbridge or an hour and twenty minutes from the seminole state park.
