When you see a small group of Marines standing for attention and the shoulder deep deep – in gloomy water, do not worry, this is normal – or at least as normal as the Marines receive.
Marines thrive in a strict environment. Basically, they turned the sucking into science – did another branch voluntarily send human life into twenty palms in California?
So it makes sense that some Marines will choose their repeated list ceremonies in some body of water so that they and their remaining squad can be wet, cold and gently miserable within one of the most important days of their careers.
A video published in a recent social media shows that two Marines choose exactly that. In this case, they and their colleagues are almost completely immersed in what looks like a pond of poor water that could be ancestral mosquito houses.
Both Marines are water support techniques for the Marine Wing Squadron 271, said Captain Jacob BALLARD, a 2nd marine aircraft spokesman.
The Marines are tasked with cleaning the type of fluffy water they stand in this specialty to be taken to drink for the Marines outdoors.
“It is always significant when the Marine raises his right hand and voluntarily undertakes to serve for another four years for his body and country,” Gunnery SGT. Kaleb A. Skaggs, Consuer of Cunter Operations “Support Squadron”, the report said. “CPL. Jarrett Cadd and Cpl. Matthew Stone, both of the 1171 water support techniques by trade recently did so.”
“The re -list in the water they are training has a deeper meaning in 1171,” Skaggs continued. “Their decision to re -standing into gloomy water is symbolic: it is exactly the environment they are taught to change their colleagues at the Marines. There is no place to re -confirm their commitment.”
The Maritime Force ceremony shall include a letter from two Marines Commander, which dates back to 15 July. After both Marines choose their employment oaths, their friends applauded and whistled their support, although they are immersed in oosis.

The tradition of preparing a water ceremony is not limited to a certain specialty in military professional specialty.
2022, SGT. Jordan James, a scout sniper, was promoted to its current ranking in swampy water, while other Marines were up to the chin.
At the time, James said Task & Desple that he had decided to hold his promotion ceremony at a training event where he and his colleague scout snipers could use dirt to make their own ghillie costumes that are made of local reeds and other plants.
He superficially elected the swamp in Okinawa, nicknamed in the “Pig Pond” to renelist because all Marines in that environment are equal, he said.
“Everything we do in the Scout Sniper Square is highly team-oriented,” James said. “So, doing it in a pig pond, being together, everyone to wear the same garment, all kinds of suffering together, just made you look more of the team.”
And that is, the sea ethos briefly: everyone suffers together.
