Parents go out thousands as Beehive NW

Portland, in the air. (Koin) – Families are thousands of dollars and chants to find children’s care after Beehive NW Summer Camp and Popular Program suddenly closed. And this is not the first time the people carrying out the program have been involved in this situation.

Parents are angry and frustrated, as are the children. Christine Pond said Koin 6 News her daughter was “very, very sad” when she heard the news. So did the children of neighbors, she said. – Many tears.

The Beehive NW Summer Camp site said the program was opened from June to August Taborspace in southeast Portland, promising trips to various parks and lakes around Oregon and Washington.

But on Sunday evening, parents received an email. Email: The camp was closed permanently. There are no returns. No children’s care.

“We are not only childcare, but we also have the money and then we have to double that we pay for more childcare,” said Rachel Bolnone, the mother of two children signed to the camp.

Beehive also offered care. Parents said Koin 6 News that they also paid hundreds in advance. This program is also canceled. Both parents said they would probably need to spend time from work, now losing income due to lost study.

“My daughter will not have the opportunity to have childcare next year. She will have to stay with me. So that means I won’t work so much,” said Pond.

Koin 6 News asked the hive owner Christian Bringelson if he knew they were missing money, why would it continue for so long? Why not return parents and pay their employees before there was money? He first said he supported hope, but eventually he said he didn’t know the answer to the question.

“We didn’t get out of it as a bandit. It’s not a situation where, for example, I choose dough because we push my parents or the like. We made a huge financial mistake by taking it,” Bringelson said. “100 percent, it’s wrong. But I also have no other information when I fight or flight.”

The registered hive agent is his girlfriend Lesley Marshall. Three years ago, Koin 6 News reported that she had done the same thing with her company Northwest Adventure.

“It had to end with Lesley’s business,” said Binterson.

According to the Oregon State Secretary, the only liability of the registered agent is “to accept the physical delivery of legal documents on behalf of business. They must have a physical street address in Oregon, where they may be in normal working hours.”

In a Tuesday’s report, the Marshal said Koin 6 News: “We have been trying to do this job for so long. We continued our old business and did all the programs ourselves so that the families can use their debts. Ask any of their families and our commitment is undeniable. It has never been deepened; it has always fought. We have taken everything because it is something that we care.

Bringelson said he had rewrote the old business and that many of our parents returned, though he could not say how many of them.

IN 2022, Koin 6 News spoke with father Julie Mallory Northwest Adventure Program for Children’s Popular Program. She said she had never heard from the Marshal to return, nor did she get a refund, even though she was able to challenge the accusation of her credit card.

Parents are not the only money. The employee told Koin 6 to the news that they owe about $ 1,400 for the last salary they never received.

Families said they were cooperating with Portland police to submit a report and seek civil action through the courts.

“So now my mood is that I am quite, quite upset. And I really don’t want it to happen to more families in the future,” said Bolonnone.

Asked if he was going to return families and pay his employees what he owes, Bringelson said he had no money.

“I am currently losing our premises, transporting our van, personal homes. I have nothing, so you know as soon as I get a job and I can start paying people,” he said.

He also added: “We tried to finance me. It didn’t work.”

But that Gofundme says it’s a yurt. Parents were not satisfied when they heard it.

“I’m appalled,” said Bolognon. “People sacrificed just three weeks ago.”
