Short threatens some California, Washington, New Mexico funding

California, Washington and New Mexico may lose millions of dollars in federal funding if they continue to fail to carry out English truck drivers, SEAN Duffy, a transport secretary, said Tuesday.

Following the catastrophe of the deadly Florida, a foreign truck driver who previously made an illegal U-moon this month, found what Duffy called significant failures, how all three states executed the rules that came into force in June. After one of the executive orders of President Donald Trump.

Truck drivers are believed to have been disqualified if they cannot prove English skills, and Duffy said the accident that had killed three had never been granted a commercial driver’s license for his immigration status. However, the disaster has become more and more political as the governors of California and Florida criticized each other and Duffy emphasizes the immigration problems of short administration during interviews.

“States cannot choose and choose which federal safety rules to follow,” said Duffy. “As we have seen with a terrible Florida disaster that killed three when states do not implement law and pose a risk of driving society.”

Duffy said California had carried out about 34,000 inspections, which found at least one violation since the new language standards came into force, requiring truck drivers to recognize and read road signs and communicate with power in English. However, only one inspection included a violation of English rules, which led to the driver to be removed from work. And 23 drivers with violations in other states were allowed to continue driving after inspections in California.

He mentioned similar statistics for other states where Washington inspected more than 6,000 safety rules, but only pulled out four drivers to violate English. Since the rules came into force, new Mexico has not released any drivers.

Duffy stated that states will lose money from car carriers’ safety program if they do not comply with the rules within 30 days. But he did not specify how much each state could lose. The states did not immediately respond to the proposed sanctions proclaimed before officials to start their day on the West coast.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, three people were killed when a truck driver Harjinder Singh made an illegal turn on the highway. It is considered without bonds after he has been charged with three public murders and immigration violations.

A nearby minibus struck a Singho trailer as it turned the rotated highway, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of the West Palm Beach. Singh and his passenger were not injured.

The elected public defender Deimantas R. Litty said her office was temporarily appointed to Singh’s case during his initial show on Saturday morning. His financial review will determine whether the Litty office remains in the case.

Litty said her office would focus on Singh, who is considered innocent, but will also cooperate with an immigration lawyer to determine how Singho’s status affects the case. After more than three decades, Litty said he could not remember the case that received more attention than this one.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Singh was grabbed by politics in crossing,” Litty said.

The Homeland Security Department said Indian native Singh was illegally in the country. Thus, Duffy said he should not have been granted commercial driver licenses in Washington and California.

In addition to Colombian County, California is one of 19 states that issues licenses, regardless of immigration status. Sponsors say they allow people to work, visit doctors and travel safely.

In addition, the Gavin Newsom Newsom Bureau of Governor of the California Government announced on the X platform that Singh had received a work permit until Trump was a president argued by homeland security officials.

Florida authorities said Singh had been illegally in the US from Mexico in 2018.
