The 88 -year -old wrote a note asking for forgiveness after he has illegally killed his wife for over 60 years, the judge is described as “tragic.”
The Bristol Crown Court was told that William Haxworth had been accused of killing his wife, Delia, but was considered to be inappropriate to court.
On Tuesday, the jury decided that Haxworth, who did not attend the court, “committed his accused actions.”
Judge William Hart told the jurors that, because he found that the defendant was inappropriate, they were not required to decide whether he was guilty or guilty of murder.
Judge Hart said the jurors after she returned the conclusion: “I believe you shared my opinion, and anyone will agree that this is a tragic case no matter where you came from and how you look at it.
“And William’s and Delia’s friends and family do not deserve anything but our compassion and compassion.”
The court heard how the defendant, who was 87 at the time, noted the members of the public that 2024 June 18th. The Bath Center was threatening to dance from the top of the scaffold.
Andrew Langdon KC, the prosecutor’s office, said Haxworth firefighters and who were trying to help him assisted him that he had killed his wife.

Police went to the couple’s houses in the city of Lansdown Mews, a city where Mrs. Haxworth, 85, found on the bed, said Mr Langdon.
The prosecutor told the jurors that a letter had been found, apparently written by the defendant.
The inscription said: “Everything has become too much.
“Please forgive me the wonderful dilon.
“It seemed like everything was missing. You were all so wonderful. And so many pleasant neighbors.
“Forgive. Forgive. Will.”
The prosecutor said the later death penalty revealed that Mrs. Haxworth had been suppressed.
Lee Harding, the supervisor of the fire service, told the jurors on the jurors how the defendant told him about his “62 -year -old wife I love so much.”
He said the defendant told him that his wife was “very sick,” adding, “I had to kill her now and now my turn.”
The jurors heard that Mrs. Haxworth went to the hospital after falling and struck her head about three weeks before her death, but it is believed that the injuries she received did not help her contribute to her death.

The pathologist said she was seen as four on a weak scale and was “usually quite independent”.
She had a history of intestinal cancer, but there was no evidence that it was repeated.
Judge Hart told the jurors on Tuesday that he had made a decision that Haxworth was not in court.
He said that in many cases it happens because the defendant is “very seriously psychiatric bad,” but he said, “This is not a full position with Mr Haxworth.”
The judge stated that in the last few months the defendant’s well -being “has been quite dramatically fluctuated” and he will decide what would happen to him on October 28, when he had a “clearer picture”.
Protecting Anna Vigars KC told the court that her client had spent some time detained after being first arrested but recently living in a community for bail.
Mrs. Vigars said: “He spent some time to get inpatient psychiatric care and support, but lives with his family and lives with his family.
“He also takes care of local general practitioners and local psychiatric services.”
Haxworth was given a conditional deposit to re -appearing on October 28th.

Detective Chief Inspector Tom Herbert said: “Our sympathy remains for Haxworths family and friends after this tragic case.
“Medical evidence showed that while Delia had some recent health problems, including waterfalls, she had no final disease.”
Mr Herbert said: “It is important that Delia’s unexpected death did not occur for natural reasons, a detailed investigation with evidence presented to the jurors who unanimously agreed that she was killed by her husband.”
Avon and Somerset police said that despite his initial comments, Mr Haxworth had not made any account of what had happened.
