Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (WJW). The 5 -year -old boy’s body was recovered from the Cuyahoga River on Sunday, and his father’s search operation was still underway after they walked underwater on Saturday night.
The child’s body was pulled out of the water just before Sunday before 9:30 p.m. It was announced dead at the scene, said Cuyahoga Falls officers, and his body was taken to the Summate District Medical Expert Office. The boy’s identity and the cause of death will be spent later.

According to an Akron Police Department Saturday evening report, the Akron Fire Dive team was summoned to the scene immediately after 7:50, after being reported that the man and the child were in the water after their kayaks closed to the Sherathon headline.
“It was confirmed that both persons were on an inflatable flotation device rather than kayak as reported earlier,” the updated Akron Fire said in a statement.
Cuyahoga Falls Fire, Akron Fire Service, Summit County Water Rescue team, Metro Parks Rangers and Ohio State Highway Patrol participated in the search.

“The river level remains extremely high, and in several areas it is still difficult or impossible to achieve safely,” the press release states.
