The new US military cargo plane has 12 times more space than C-17

The US military is known because of its ranks of beastly machines. On the one hand, you have a relatively small but particularly deadly weapon platform, such as respected and equally feared F-35 Lightning II and F-22 Raptor fighter jets, and the other is a beyond-beama like USS Gerald R. Ford and AC-1330 Gunship, created by Lockheed Martin. On the Size Affairs, Windrunner is a large air cargo aircraft created by Aviation and Energy Company Radia, which is currently on the world’s largest aircraft.

Windrunner has already caused waves worldwide, not only because it will have ten times the Boeing 777 volume, but also because of its ability to land in semi -prepared strips with as much as 6,000 feet. If it is not impressive enough, Radia has confirmed that the mass aircraft will hold programs as commercial cargo transportation and military aircraft, from which the latter are the reason we are here.

Windrunner will have 12 times more space than the Mamth Boeing C-17 Globemaster III -Behemoth, which has long ruled the sky as the most flexible aircraft cargo aircraft. While the favorite similarity of such an airplane may seem like a fool’s orders, the Windrunner seems to have what it takes to successfully.

Windrunner is optimized with the weight of volume and useful cargo

The C-17 took the first time in the sky in 1991 and the army announced it just four years later. The plane has always had several impressive specifications, starting with its ability to land or rise on the runways with 3,500 feet to its ability to turn up to 90 feet of runways. The aircraft is the highest total carpet weight of £ 585,000, of which is £ 170,900, which increases its maximum useful load capacity. While serving, he played several important roles, starting with equipment transport to paratroopers going to missions.

The numbers and years serving the C-17 demonstrate as a capable craft, which over time has constantly proved their value. However, one of the main Radia sales points Windrunner is the optimization of craft to volume and utility weight, which allows it to adapt various military systems, platforms and vehicles. From mobile hospitals to long -distance radars and CCA, this bird can carry everything. Even more interesting is that the optimization of Windrunner can upload, transport and unload many of these equipment packages, do not require dismantling and without specialized devices.

A considerable amount of time is usually spent by dismantling military equipment until it can be loaded and transported. There are also specialized equipment and staff needed for these processes. Usually it is a time and work that could have been invested elsewhere, has been involved in these processes. Not only does it open the vulnerability windows, it also makes it even more difficult for already complex schedules. Windrunner will also feature short rug and landing capabilities with about 6000 feet of runways, allowing it to operate in areas or regions that would usually be unsuitable for planes or carpets.

From now on, it has been confirmed that the aircraft offers more than 240,139.7 cubic feet, which can support military equipment and all aircraft such as long-serving CH-47 chinooks, which Windrunner can accommodate up to six. The aircraft will also be able to carry the F-35, F-16S, 12 AH-64 Apache helicopters and CV-22 OSPREYS. To see things to perspective, while C-17 can only carry two Apache helicopters, Windrunner can carry up to twelve. Radia is currently undergoing development and the first aircraft flights are expected in the late 2020.
