Despite the bold forecasts of Elon Musk, Cyberruck is officially a spit.
Tesla deliberately opaque due to its sales numbers in specific models, so you have to compress to understand how bad a company’s unique pickup is in the real world.
But we really have some idea.
Here’s what we know, based on Tesla’s presentations (sales intermediate server) released this week: EV manufacturer from April to June this year. A total of about 384,000 vehicles were introduced-April to June this year.-13.5% of the year earlier.
Zoom in, and Tesla becomes nasty.
Tesla does not allow Cybertruck, one of its highest quality models that Musk says, inspired by the dystopic film Blade Runner. It reveals only two categories – 3 and Y model in one category, and the second is “Other Models”, which are almost completely a Legacy Model S Sedan, Model X SUV and Cybertruck.
The company said it was introduced in the second quarter about 10,400 “other” models, which is a huge problem for Tesla. In the same quarter of last year, Tesla sold more than 21,500 “other” models. It is difficult to think about another word in a 52% downturn other than a collapse.
How many of those “others” are Cyberrucks and how much is the model s or x? This is not entirely clear.
But let’s look at the first three months of this year. According to S&P Global Mobility Registration, Tesla sold about 12,900 “other” models, 7 100 of which were cyber. So a little more than half.
So it would be safe to appreciate that Tesla probably sold something in the second quarter of 5000-6,000 Cybertrucks ball park if consumer trends were stable. The F-150 Lightning and GM electric pickups, whose sales are also falling, can even be slightly handed over to the F-150 Lightning and GM power plating.
The company did not respond to the request to comment.
But even in the hypothetical world where Everything Out of those 10,400 presentations in the second quarter, there were Cybertrucks, Tesla will still not be massively harmful to Musk, who told investors two years ago, expecting Tesla until 2025. Will spend 250,000 a year.
We were halfway through, and Tesla barely missed some of that.
Cybertruck sales have faced many challenges:
-
Its $ 80,000-100,000.
-
Impending deletion of EV tax credits.
-
Its strange football design.
-
Repeated cancellations, including one external steel panel, when the truck moves.
-
About 200 miles of the real -world range reported by the owners, not the 500 -mile range, which was originally promised.
-
Initially, the lack of a ranging range, which is silently disappeared.
-
The vehicle is not damaged by the world’s richest Wannabe-Oligarch.
-
The £ 7,000 car became a symbol of the Right Wing and the target of vandalism.
