Five teenagers face accusations, including assault and hate crimes, after allegedly attacking several people in the Simi Valley Cinema Parking, officials said Friday.
The incident occurred shortly after August 2. At midnight, the Canyon Road became the Regal Cinemas in the parking lot, Ventura County’s lawyer’s office said. The authorities said teenagers had attacked at least three victims. Two of teenagers are also accused of separately in the same party on May 30th.
The suspects consist of three 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds. Their names were not published because they are minors.
One of the victims, 18-year-old Michael Robinson, KTla said the attack was motivated racially. He said he was enjoying the night with his friends when a group of intoxicated teenagers began to harass one of their fellow -men with whom they had pre -problems. The situation increased quickly.
“They first struck one of my friends in the face,” Robinson said. “Then they hit the other. Then they attacked me while I was between two cars. I managed to get out and ran to the parking lot. That’s when they put me in the car’s hood and jumped.”

The footage is shown between the youth group and the victim. The victim, which was holding the chair of self -defense, was surrounded by a group that shook his obscenity. Then the victim escaped, but his attackers chased and began to beat him in the outdoor area.

One of the three videos included in the recording (which also included some of the alleged suspects’ photos) shows that one of the adjacent teenagers at the time was casually against the Simi Valley Police Department’s car near the officers.

Robinson said he tried to escape, then tried to defend himself with a chair when the group surrounded him and knocked down the obscenity.
“They still caught me, and when they caught me, they decided they were going to put my head in the trash and started to hit me,” Robinson said.
The attack left Robinson with a concussion, cut, bruises and broken teeth. He said he didn’t know any attacker. After Robinson and his mother reported the attack, a criminal investigation was launched.
Four of the teenagers were arrested on August 3. The fifth suspect was later identified. According to the department, one of the teenagers is the son of a police officer at the Simi Valley, stating that the officer is not involved in the investigation.
October 3 The District Prosecutor’s Office has been charged with all five minors:
Three teenagers have been charged with attacking the offense for force, which is likely to cause serious bodily injury, with a particular suspicion of hate crime. One teenager faces the same accusation assault as well as due to improper criminal threats and misconduct batteries. The fifth teenager was accused of improper criminal threats and misconduct batteries.
“Hate crimes spread fear, division and violence throughout the community,” said District Attorney Erik Nasarenko. “Our office is committed to keeping this youth responsible and ensuring that the victims and our community are given justice.”
All five teenagers are expected to be arrested on October 10. Ventura County at the Minor of Justice at the OKSNARD.
